I tend to agree with this. The question is, how picky will he be?

Does he want to coach in a particular league? It would be shortsighted for him to leave for a school that does not already recruit exceptionally well, like top ten well. A second year of success at A&M would open more doors.

However, if it turns out the he doesn't like working with Jimbo...

If Petrino does well I don't see him bouncing up to a top tier school unless we win a NC. I don't follow college football too closely but maybe a WV, Syracuse, , Missouri, BC type of school. Even more so to a school like Missouri since he has turned teams around before. Honestly Petrino has the most to show since at the end of the day Jimbo gets his money regardless. Not sure what we are paying Petrino but a decent head coaching spot at one of the above schools would be around $5million a year
