Looks like Lane had a rough night on the town giving bjs to all the the tsipper media and sark prior to showing up. He's blowing a lot of love up Sark's skirt already and Ags better get ready for quotes of 'glad we have a real texas team in the conf now'. A couple of Ol Miss grads telling me he's saying that behind the scenes already and they think he may drop those stmts closer to next year to the ire of Ags (but we'll see if that comes to fruition or not).

His legalized cheating stmt is chalk full of irony as he has been one of the top cheaters throughout his so-called coaching career (long trail of crap assoc with him at tenn, usc and ol miss...the one that set him off is basically Jimbo calling out Saban's cheating as implies Lane part of that too). Bet he'll soon say something about the Walter and UT media scenario underway.

Don't see why anyone likes LK, but suppose being outspoken on social media is the new wave of idolization today.

Also said that if you look at recruiting rankings you will find they are highly correlated to NIL funds. No big surprise. I guess he's whining because he can't compete with the big NIL players.

He's basically right however if it's legal now it isn't cheating anymore, is it?

The only thing that has changed is now it's ok to pay. That helps us because we pretty much sucked at cheating imo.

It would be really nice if Jimbo would put this skid mark in his place at some point

I graduated HS in 1982, so paying players has always been part of the game. Now it's just in public view and is basically like he says, a free agent situation with no salary cap. Game has changed. Will I still watch? At this point, not sure, but that's more because I'm into other things than any distain of the system.

Actually the same teams are at the top of recruiting before and after NIL, nothing has really changed.
