He's calculations are based on records since 2012...stills seems wrong.

Under Jimbo we seem much better home vs road.

Probably analyzed records and facts to come to this conclusion. Kyle Field hasn't been intimidating for home advantage. since the early 90s for sure. Mike Leach I think loved playing and beating us at Kyle Field. Bias alert in that I haven't been to only a couple of games at Kyle with the new stadium. Much better atmosphere to me in the 90s. Sorry, I am an old Ag now.

Dabo would disagree. This guy wasn't here for 2018 lsu 2018 Clemson, 2021 bama, 2016 Tennessee etc

So even below Vanderbilt? He's fishing for clicks

If we consistently win 9 or ten games a year, it probably would not be a subject for discussion.

This was certainly true under Sumlin. In retrospect, the degree to which Sumlin underperformed at Kyle was probably an indication of deeper issues (insert picture of Kenny Hill passed out on Northgate here). Jimbo seems to have reversed that trend, but with Sumlin still making up the majority of the data since 2012, this outcome is not that surprising.

Because anyone with a brain knows that Kyle Field is a better home field advantage than Vanderbilt and Missouri

Since 2012, we are 4th in total wins in the SEC. This guy is a total ass hat. Unbelievable.

Our atmosphere is the best in the country when we play ranked opponents but lacks when we have an avg sec squad in town. I wish we could incorporate the music exactly how we did for bama into every game. I know some of the olds won't like this but we need a mix of country with more rap and techno. It's gets the crowd going. Throw in the led lights and we got ourself a atmosphere no matter the opponent. I went to South Carolina game last year and that atmosphere rivaled our bama game and we we're an unranked injured team hobbling in there.

I miss Kyle field of the 80's and early 90's

In competitive games, Kyle provides a great home field advantage. Our crowd ALWAYS rises to the occasion in competitive games. However, part of our problem is this team hasn't/wasn't always competitive. When the offense has 6 consecutive '3 and outs', it really takes the crowd out of the game.

In my sophomore year,1984, we lost to Baylor at home in a monsoon 20-16.

From that game until the end of 1999, A&M won 84 home games and lost 8 games.

The atmosphere at Kyle didn't miraculously change after the Baylor loss, but the talent and confidence of the team did. We had better players than everyone we played and knew we would win.

We also had coaching stability. If we had not been stupid and fired Jackie Sherrill we would have won a National Championship in the '80s and or '90s.

Every older CFB fan probably says the same thing about their team. Stadiums have upgraded and added new enhancements such as lights that have added to the environment. If we don't do it as well then our environment starts to suffer because a recruit will go to xyz stadium and see how amped and updated it is and then come to ours and think we are boring and stuck in the past.

It is simply a question of winning at home compared to other SEC. For example Alabama and Georgia are likely near perfect over the past 10 years.

This is probably why this stat is so low. Home field advantage is an indicator of how we perform at home compared to our overall performance. For example, against conference opponents Sumlin went 25-23 (52%) against conference opponents during his time at Texas A&M, but only managed a 8-14 (36%) record against opponents at Kyle Field during that time. He also never posted a winning home record against conference opponents (even the 2012 year, we went 2-2 against SEC opponents in Kyle). That is atrocious.

Jimbo Fisher (as I said earlier) seems to have reversed this trend. He has gone 23-18 (56%) overall against SEC opponents, but 13-5 at home (72%). Thus, under Jimbo, the home field advantage has drastically improved. However, if you sum Sumin's and Jimbo's record together (i.e. count since 2012), there is an overall conference record of 48-41 (54%), and a home conference record of 21-19 (53%). This is still averages out to a home field disadvantage since 2012, even though this trend is no longer present under Jimbo.

Oh, so now we celebrate almost wins because Kyle was loud?
