Jimbo has more 5 win seasons (2) than NC's (1) and both of the 5 win seasons are more recent.

Idgaf how much Jimbo is paid

I'd also love to consider the alternative bc Jimbo is garbage
He's really only garbage as a O playcaller. He's got skins on the wall in general.

So does gene chizik.

I would say Jimbo has 2 years to produce with this roster or he will be ousted .
By produce , I mean he either needs to win the SEC West this year or make the SEC Championship Game the following year under the new format whatever it turns out to be . (Probably 4 groups with no divisions)
My money is on him being ousted .
I see a lot of bad body language and commentary from him this year .
He has very little reason to excel with his current contract .
the burnt orange has a habit of sending A&M coaches to the unemployment line.

did it to Sherman in 2011, did it to R.C. in 2002, and so forth

the timing would be right.

Jimbo loses the first game back against the sips at the end of the 2024 regular season...adios amigo

I'd rather most of that money go toward lowering tuition costs for students.

Complaining about the contract is warranted, it just won't change anything. Texas A&M is stuck with Jimbo win or lose through at least 2029 when the buyout becomes somewhat manageable.

Unless the money is coming out of your pocket…

How much our University wants to spend on a coach has almost ZERO to do with the cost of anything we have to pay..

The next time you b*tch about how much we pay Jimbo, consider the alternative…

Be thankful we have BMAs who are willing to fund all of this…. It's good to be wealthy…

I feel bad for the BMAs to be quite honest, especially the ones who have been for a long time. But… what is the alternative? No nattys? That is still the result. Whatever the generational problem is in the AD, money isn't the problem or solution, something is deeply broken because we can raise all the money in the world but we cant so much as even make a mens national championship… tech managed to do that, tcu did it, rice has baseball natty, baylor has a natty, texas has a good history athletically. Again, I just flat feel bad that the AD is a broken black hole for so much money spent. The little mississippis and south carolina and vandy can win baseball titles. Little clemson can win football nattys. Auburn did too. We flat out just don't win anything meaningful ever.

You would rather not have intercollegiate athletics? Somehow I'm not surprised…

Well we have em… but money doesn't seem to do anything for them or help them in any way. Zero results.

Well…the issue is you believe paying money entitles you to an outcome. It doesn't work that way. And focusing specifically on head coach salary is how Ags spend their entire lives failing to control something that doesn't work that way.

Jimbo has failed to institute the Saban-style "process" the way Nick would. But last year was more of a perfect storm of bad events than failure of his leadership. Due to his hiring costs (there was competition to hire him from Texas and LSU) and the 2020 season (best Aggie finish since 1939), the cost to just fire him is too high. So the TMF and Bjork chose the typical lean in of having him focus more on HC duties and he agreed to do that. I recommend just seeing how the Petrino addition works rather than self-basting in your control issues on a public forum.

But you do you!!!

I mean, by this logic we might as well just shut the board down since what nearly any of us thinks about anything doesn't change anything. Good or bad.
Agreed. Then maybe the cocky freshman players won't turn against their coach after reading about how bad the coach is online.
