We wanted to let our loyal customers be the first to know that after 18 years, the George Bush/Texas Ave, DoubleDave's location is closing. Not to worry though!! Our Boonville and Rock Prairie locations remain open AND on May 2nd, we will be expanding our hours!

There's more! Stay tuned - in 2 weeks we will have an exciting announcement that we KNOW all you DoubleDave's fans will be very happy to hear!!

And there's even more! ALL employees at that location have jobs in one of the other two, so no one has lost their job in this decision.

Growth and change often bring mixed feelings and this announcement is no different so we would love for you to share your favorite DoubleDave's story that happened at the George Bush/Texas Ave location! Was it eating too many Peproni rolls? Was it an after party late night meal? We would love to hear your stories as we remember the good times there!

Y'all should consider opening a location in Sachse at the Station

During my freshman year, I was walking across campus to go to my first midnight yell when a Double Dave's employee accidently dropped a cooler of pepperoni rolls in front of me. I knelt down and helped this poor minimum wage pizza delivery man scoop pepperoni rolls off the uneven surface of the military walk. After my good deed was complete I was awarded with as many pizza rolls as I could carry. I still think about that interaction to this day, I hope ol' boy is doing alright.

Kind of a weird flex with the thumbs up emoji to let us know you are closing a store down? Don't think I have seen this move before.

The last time was told to wait two weeks for something….. I just can't put my finger on it….. what was it…. Oh yeah it turned into two plus years……….

Bring back the buffet!!!!

No buffet no Double Daves for me. They just opened a location in Sugar Land/Missouri City. I don't even know what the point is if they won't do buffet. Who the hell orders Double Daves takeout?

I'm an Aggie and the owner of this location. I was 17yo in Sugar Land attending Elkins High School when DoubleDave's came to town with your beloved buffet. I later worked at DoubleDave's in College Station. I took a severance from oil and gas last year and put the entire thing into a dream to use my MBA and MEng to the test in my local community. I brought DoubleDave's back to committee to support the community that raised me. I have partnered with the FBISD transition program, Sugar Land Space Cowboys minor league team and the Lonestar Athletics Cricket team to create opportunities for differently-abled individuals to thrive in a concession environment. We have sponsored numerous groups and donated countless pizzas to different causes to give back to the community. DoubleDave's is more than a buffet.

Would be cool to have your support fellow Ag.

Well this is ironic. My wife and I were somehow talking about Double Dave's about an hour ago. Haven't mentioned it in years since the Mason Rd Katy location closed.

Then I wander into this thread. We were talking about the sweet unholy sin of the steak and cheese Stromboli. Looks like a little drive to Sugarland is in order! These arteries aren't going to clog themselves!! I'll invite one of my brothers who drives an ambulance so so when I code you won't even have to pick up the phone.

Very few locations have the buffet. The one on Westheimer (Houston) does. One in Round Rock does. I am sure there are a couple others, but not many.

Thanks, Alex for bring the Double Dave's back to Sugar Land. We missed it when it closed. I've order roll for delivery and my son and friends have visited multiple times. Keep it up and Yes!! bring the buffet.
