I would be willing to bet these players had a conversation with Prime this morning. He probably let them know where they stood and helped them make a "good career decision"

They went 1-11 last year. I doubt Deion is too worried about any of those players entering the portal.

I was never a big Deion fan in the NFL.
I'm a Cowboy's fan and never got over the NFC Championship game. He was a good cover guy, but couldn't hit.

They had 2,000 show up for their spring game last year and had a sold-out stadium for it this year.
By my count, Colorado's now lost all 4 QBs who threw >20 passes, 3 of 5 RBs, all 9 players targeted >8 times, 5 of 8 OLs and 7 of 8 DLs with >100 snaps, all 4 LBs with >200 snaps, and 12 of 17 DBs with ANY snaps.

I bet he only stays a couple of years then heads to a place much warmer and closer to sea level. And this repeats itself.

Could be many reasons. Probably the culture change as a whole, or maybe certain players had it planned out ahead of time and wanted some film from the spring game to shop around in the portal. Could also be that players are starting to realize that it is all about him.
We nearly lost to those transfers in '21, 10-7. Last year was worse.

This does make me curious what the numbers look like for all the guys he brought in.
If most of the transfers in are still relatively young and inexperienced, he could see a mess like we saw last year.
Of course, 5-7 would be a huge improvement for them and playing in the PAC12 makes it easier.

They have less than 20 scholarship players on campus from last years team. They have zero returning WRs from last years team. They have 68 total scholarship players now.Latrobe said:

Yes, they are bringing in like 48 new guys, but to think all of these players are leaving on Deions terms isn't logical. A ton are because they see his attitude and don't want to play for him. We will see how that works out long term at this level.
I'm interested to see how many does Deion grab in the portal to replace these guys.

I think the hysteria over our transfers is overblown, but Deion walked in and told players to prepare to transfer because he was bringing their replacements. So it's kind of different

The good news for Sanders is they won a single game last year and suffered some horrible blowouts so just not getting curb stomped would be a realistic goal for '23. They also have a pretty tough non conference schedule.

?w=592 He has 67 players currently on scholarship. We have 76. And we have had 9 transfer in, not 4. 5 on scholarship. and 4 PWOs. The 4 PWOs could probably get a scholarship for schools at Colorado's level.Aggieair said:AggieOO said:

What really matters isn't your in vs out ratio. For example, ours always had to be high just to get under 85. But it's what you have on campus now.

As I recall he told the team on day one that most wouldn't make it out of spring. I think he had a plan. Why do people here hope he fails? I wasn't necessarily a fan as a player but I realize he's probably the greatest player that has ever coached D1. He did do a hell of a job at JSU.

They are one of the bottom 5-10 P5 programs in the country the last two decades. Comparing their 1990 NC to where both programs are now is absurd. But by all means, self loathe all you wish. We go 5-7 one time and everyone freaks out and questions why. They go 5-7 in the last 20 years a couple of times and they are asking themselves what went right? How did we do so much better than normal and how can we sustain that 5-7 success?

I guess. Is it really self loathing if it's just the ability to remember a national title for the Buffs in my lifetime and none for the good guys? Also us playing them down to the wire just a couple years ago makes me think we are not in a great place to make fun of their current situation.
Also bragging about how much money we spend with zero titles to show for it just seems kinda embarrassing.
