Bama is still "unofficially" slated with Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU- unless something has changed since Saban's whining about it.

Not sure why in the world we would get MSU as a rival. But hey, if they need it to make the whole thing work well for Texas, Bama, LSU and OU, then I'm sure our AD and admin will voluntarily bend over the sofa and present themselves.

It's not necessarily what I THINK will happen, it's what I would like to see. I think there needs to be some crossover between 'the old guard' and the newbies. OU and Arkansas really WANT tu as their permanent rival, while many Ags don't. We will be playing tu every-other year, anyway, so it's not like we can avoid them. Tennessee/texas would have more national appeal, and would have a historical connection. Many early Texans came from Tennessee.

Fair enough. I thought your list was what you expect to happen. Texas is a permanent rival, whether someone wants it or not.

I do think the vast majority of Aggies want to renew the rivalry, even if Texags is divided on it.

MSU is our SEC Tek. A vastly inferior opponent who somehow has our number almost every single year. I'd take pretty much anyone else over them

Michigan and Texas swapped a home game that was supposed to be in Austin in 2024 to Ann Arbor.

The more of these odd looking dominos that fall, the closer we get to a 9-game conference schedule in 2024 (one that will surely end up with Texas hosting us in Austin first for all the conspiracy theorists).

Missouri I would agree with you, but more Arkansas fans probably think of Ole Miss as a rival than you'd think. The two used to play really often back in the 60's-70's and both programs are pretty similar with some hate on each side. Of course not near as much as Ole Miss hates MSU.

Really just depends on geographic region and time period though. In the 2000's many Arkansas fans would have thought of LSU as a top 3. Ask 10 fans and you'd probably get 5-6 different variations.

Well it almost doesn't matter who your second, third, fourth, fifth or whatever rival is, you guys mostly have rivalries with teams that are "top half" teams, and, unfortunately wherever you draw the line, Arkansas would fairly be characterized as being in the "bottom half" of the SEC rankings based off the past 10 years or so. So out of us, tu, and LSU, you are probably just getting one, and it seems like most Arkansas fans would pick tu. Unfortunately, a lot of people here don't get that pairing tu and Arkansas isn't really about giving tu what it wants, but rather giving Arkansas what it wants.

Unfortunately for us, this is a situation where being so unlikeable really benefits tu. I guess we should practice being really insufferable d-bags like them, I don't know.

Or I guess another alternative is that we could suck as much as we did last year, for the next ten years, and Texas could suck too. Then we could have all the rivalries we want! Yea!

Well hey I'm fine with that lol. What I've heard for Arkansas is Texas, Ole Miss and Missouri which really wouldn't be too bad. Of course I say that even though Arkansas seems to never be able to beat Missouri for some reason
