Nah, he has a pretty long leash at CU. For a "major" program he'll have relatively low pressure. Unless he gets wrapped up in a big scandal they'll give him 5-6 years minimum.

As a football player, Deion is on a very short list of players considered the GOAT. He's certainly the best corner. Not even a close second. He's made CU football almost must watch without coaching one game. I think the band idea is not a bad one. Besides the FTAB, there is no other bad I'd rather watch than an HBCU band.

I remember when Jackie created the 12th man kickoff team and that worked out OK for us. He seemed to do fine generating excitement while being one of the best coaches we ever had.

He just asked. That can't hurt. Maybe they add a couple of tunes to the playlist. Bands usually like the challenge of taking on new music. Even the super conservative FTAB rotates music in and out of the play list every couple of years (within certain genres appropriate for a military marching band, in our case).

Watched some of their spring game today, in the snow. WHAT A CROWD !!

How about recruiting the best players period and playing whatever music is agreed upon by the majority of the student body. How would this be perceived if say Bobby Petrino tried to implement PWI at a HBCU?

Wouldn't have to cause the band environment is what coaches want behind closed doors to make players feel comfortable

Hence all the hip hop played at non hbcus

I'd like to learn more about this HBCU that was resurrected. Are you referring to the two year period that they were good and lost both of their bowl games? Are you referring to the claims that new infrastructure was built there but it actually wasn't? I'm sure Deon will do fine at Colorado but I think he gets too much credit for his accomplishments at Jackson St. I doubt he is at Colorado long. I'm more curious how he does when he gets to Florida St. or whatever big, powerful P5 school he seeks as his final destination.
