'03 Katy v Southlake remains the best pure football game I've ever seen. The clashing of old-school ball control rushing vs. air raid 5-wide.
Southlake beat two future pro QBs in state championship games: Andy Dalton from Katy and Nick Foles at Westlake.

Not sure Southlake will ever get the horses to win state again as Duncanville, DeSoto and North Shore have really ramped up their programs and talent levels
How does a high school "ramp up" their talent level? Their pool of players seems limited by boundaries.

I can't tell if you are being serious or not.

Hey! I was a K-12er too. That was a great game. I think it was in Waco? Chase Daniel playing receiver with a double spin move touchdown catch. As I sit here and think about it, was that game vs Lufkin at WISD stadium? Did we play Lufkin 3 times in a row? WISD (Wasson), Old Baylor (Luna trucking the defender) and then SFA (Jacobson outshining Dez Bryant) It's scary to think it was that long ago that I'm forgetting.

Yeah, it was in Waco. I remember that catch by Daniel, it was badass.

Back in my coaching days (2007), I shared an office with a former Offensive coach from Southlake Carroll. He was our OC at a 2A Texas High School and he was a class A-*******.
How much did this guy suck that he ended up moving from SLC to a 2A high school?

No offense intended to you - you were probably starting out - but this dude's career trajectory was obviously headed the wrong way.

Indeed - look at how Cedar Hill, Dallas Carter and Dallas Kimbell are doing nowadays and ask that question again.

" boundaries". That's funny. The UIL has turned into the NCAA, toothless: "open enrollment" has created all star teams.
