Some folks just getting tired of what they consider nonstop gratuitous potshots taken at A&M lately from anyone perceived to be media.
A 5-7 season brings out the worst in everyone. Both friends and foes.

Jimbo starts winning next year and a lot of yapping stops and things can calm down around here.
Then maybe we can have some legitimate football discussions instead of constant sniping from the media and from within.

That's not what we do. And I can't pretend everything is sunshine and rainbows down there if it's not. Hating on me like every other fanbase does doesn't make much sense to me. Other fan bases actually make fun of that too. "Aggies hating Aggies" but hey... you guys do you!!

Thank you to everybody who has supported me and followed me since the beginning. I know my career path or current employer isn't a huge favorite with some of you, but it's been a dream ride for me. Anyway, seeing as I'm not necessarily a friend of the program anymore, I don't anticipate this changing anything. But one thing that I know is that no matter where my career takes me, A&M and TexAgs will always be home. So I thought I'd take some time to say what's up, I love A&M and if we do happen to make it down to Texas for a live show, try not to throw stuff at me or anything.

Not trying to knock Kayce here but I think a national sports media / social media maven need to have a thicker skin. She's not expected to have a 100% pro-Aggie outlook any more than we should be expected to have a 100% pro-Kayce outlook. She should understand that.

If you spent any time at all on TexAgs, you would know there will always be critics and detractors. Their opinions are their own and they are not representative of any broad sampling of the fan base. Again, she should understand that. Her passive aggressive stance seems inconsistent with that fact.

That being said, I respect her opinion of the Petrino hire but I disagree with her. Media figures spend personal capital supporting unconventional ideas (like hiring Petrino). I wouldn't expect her to reflexively support the hire. As an emerging sports media personality, she will go with the media herd.

Sir, my skin is incredibly thick. You should see what I deal with on a daily basis. I mentioned multiple times the only reason I came on these forums is because this is home and I started my career here. So ya, I spent literally years not only ON but getting paid by TexAgs. It's checking in with your roots!!

Trust me, I can handle anything. I can also think for myself. I'm not a going with the herd person. Have a good day!

To each their own but barstool is not sports coverage.
Their target audience is inmature high school aged kids. It's almost like a conversation between 14 year olds who try to cuss as much as they can because they think it's cool and their parents are not around.

There is no professionalism whatsoever and even less journalism

But nobody can say with a straight face that barstool is not trashy.

Nobody every said Barstool was journalism, much less trying to be. Anybody who uses this argument clearly doesn't know what we're about. I'd also argue if you think our conversations in long form are for 14 year olds, you're not actually listening.

I dont think she is alone in questioning the Petrino hire. My knee jerk reaction was wtf but let's see. Id hope that those in media representing Ags might take a similar approach like Josh Pate did in his analysis.
