If he has straight F's I don't think he can use the transfer portal and be immediately eligible. I think they have to have passed at least 6 hours/credits to be eligible.

You have to be a special kind of stupid, or have a special kind of "privileged" attitude developed, to flunk out as a scholarship football athlete.

If he really did flunk most/all of his classes he should not be immediately eligible, and will have to sit for a year coloring books on LSU's degree program. Also, current school disciplinary actions are also factored in with the 1-time transfer exception, so curious if the other problem children will be immediately eligible as well.

Wtf are you talking about? Unless everyone but me got the update, Evan was part of the group who snuck out before the Miami game and went to a party at Prarie View. Or he missed that game for some other reason, like being out of his room at curfew but was still at the hotel.

Honestly if that's all he did I really don't see that as a big deal?? A weed pen in a locker room, that's probably the worst of it but I don't even think that's a dismissible offense for a 18 year old kid from the hood. The Fs, if that's true it was one semester he could technically bring that up and you don't get kicked out for failing one semester at any university.

He was here in the spring too. So possible he already burned a strike. He was also literally in the middle of every discipline issue we had that made news - at least 4, and who knows how many that we don't know about

Just because Harris "committed" to LSU it does not mean he will be at LSU.

I am glad someone else posted the same. LSU is a joke, yes, but according to the NCAA link above, his eligibility has little to do with them. If he posted a 0.0 this semester he is not eligible for the one-time transfer rule. LSU could take him and have him finger painting until he completes enough hours to actually join the team, but if rumors are true he can't even practice with the corn dogs.

A&M would have zero reason to "help" him either.

While that is true, it is my understanding that Jimbo tried REAL hard to get Denver back...

I say good riddance, but Jimbo doesn't have a great record on the culture building front.

I am just hoping that the current fiasco with the number of portal players doesn't haunt us for years, in terms of wins and losses, in the same way an old huge probation did...

No matter what, and I do consider a conference contender much less a nationally relevant program to be years away at best, jimbo has produced some of the worst returns on investment in the history of common sense consideration.

The irony of this discussion is that Denver Harris has A LOT less history to overcome than Jimbo.

Remember l$u you can graduate with a degree of electives like Shaq.

So the 3 players involved in the smoking vape pin were not allowed back to school for the next semester. So they had to transfer to other universities. All were trying to remain at the school. But it was out of the coaches control.
