He could literally get away with murder there. There's zero institutional control over athletics; the fans have no expectations off the field; and the local government does not care about law enforcement at all. It's the perfect place for troubled players. At least, until they blow one play and the entire state turns on them.

And why do that when other athletes might read it? If Jimbo put that decision up for a TXAgs/fan vote, he'd get 95%…hell yes, by all means keep that kid. Most would probably agree to pay him more in spite of his BS. Everyone sure wanted to keep Marshall, who did the same stuff, so what's the difference?

Where do the Aggies get this perception? Are there examples? I mean I can point to 2008 when LSU dismissed its starting QB, Ryan Perrilloux, right after a great Spring. And then 2012 when LSU dismissed Heisman Finalist Tyrann Mathieu just 3 weeks before the season opener.
