Prior to his arrival, Jackson State was just a place to play football.
Sanders arrived and you can see all of the P5 transfers he took in. He drafted a little better than Jackson State had done, including convincing the #1 player (a CB) in the country to play there.
Sanders had success at Jackson St getting players that were far better than the FCS teams generally get.
He will be looking for a different kind of player for CU than he was Jackson St. The shine and luster of the "I'm coming" schtick will wear off quickly.
God did not ordain him to coach Colorado and his whole "Divine appointment" schtick is offensive.
So many athlete's and coaches reference providence in their decisions and results. Do you find them all offensive?
So... are you a Christian? Do YOU believe God called the AD? so that He could strategically place Deion as the coach of the Colorado Buffaloes?!
Now if Deion takes his players down to the spring and asks them to drink water... and if he puts those that lap it up like a dog on one side and those that use their hand to lift the water on the other... maybe I'm wrong.
But, I'm going to need more than just Deion's account of God's appointment.
