The play call wasnt bad, the DL from UGA absolutely abused lsu's guard to make the hit in the backfield. Had the guard halfway done his job, they get the first.

That play right there highlights one of my biggest beefs with our Oline. All of Georgia's Oline was in on pushing the pile and helped the back get an extra 5-6 yards. Our Oline just stands there watching our RB get stood up and pushed backwards.

Seeing so many plays where our guys completely whiff on their assignment and penalties are higher on my list.
But after you've whiffed on your block, it would seem that pushing the pile is the least you could do to make up for it.
