The smoke signals I'm reading is the core of this 22 class is sticking together for the next two years to see if they can make it to the top. Most of those who are leaving weren't likely getting much PT ahead of these 23 true freshmen who played this year.

Maybe he does not have NFL aspirations and wants to be an Aggie...which includes The Network to leverage throughout his career.

Now if King really believes that he has a shot at an NFL roster then I could see him transferring.

I like King, but he played in the same offense as Max and Conner. Both of those guys didn't throw INTs.

tu was terrible last year and lost to Kansas at home. They didn't see a mass exodus so not sure why everyone thinks A&M will lose a bunch of top guys.

We will probably lose 10-12 in the portal. 3 gone. 4 suspended players in PJ Williams, Marshall, Denver Harris, and Anthony Lucus all probably gone and an additional 3-4 players would not be a surprise. We will have to find some players in the portal as we will have about 27 openings with attrition, early NFL draft entry, and seniors and zero recruiting momentum for this year's class.

King's best chance at the NFL is staying and changing positions. See if he can turn himself into a Wes Welker.

But also from what we saw his speed is straight line speed. His short movements are slow. Not great for a route runner.

Please explain. So you think if he starts at QB somewhere else (lower conference) he can make the NFL???

As someone else pointed out, his best chance to play at the next level would probably be to change positions.

If he wants to be an Aggie and possibly play in the SEC then staying would be the right choice.

I agree with you. But I think having to make decisions at QB slows him down tremendously.

Just running a WR route I think he would look much faster. Would love to see what he could do at WR.

I could easily see him going to a B12 school and playing well enough to make an NFL roster. He could even go to a G5 school and put up some crazy numbers in an offense more suited for him.

Wes Welker? hes tall and clumsy.

We may lose some non-starters and it may hurt depth. But plenty got plenty of playing time and will stay.

Might even help to get rid of some of the knuckleheads.

Do you really think we will have early NFL draft entries from this team? Who is advising these players to leave early? It seems like most of our underclassmen who departed early have not been very successful. There are some exceptions, such as Mike Evans. Most of them would have been better off staying longer.
