He was behind in the depth chart. I was over the moon when we got him but other guys have jumped ahead of him. Its ok to say things didn't work out and wish the kid well w/o pointing blame. I mean this with good intentions and all sincerity, some of y'all need to cut back on your time on this site. It was a miserable season because our coach couldn't communicate to the freshman properly, King couldn't get out of his own head, our D coordinator couldn't communicate with our players ( personally not a fan of Durkins scheme), injuries, illness, players not adhering to the rules.... We can continue but I think that covers most.
I believe Fisher is a hell of a coach and we are still lucky to have him, He needs to give up the reigns as far as calling offense though. No one is going to out recruit him, I believe that 100%. He just needs to delegate responsibilities. Needs to be a lot of meetings with coaches and players to get on the same page.
Lets look at it from one more angle, We had the best recruiting class ever assembled. First I want to state that I believe the freshman thought they would come in and be able to do what they did in hs. This was a learning season for them and they grew from it. I also believe some weren't ever bought in because the landscape of cfb is different now. When we lost Anias as a leader, things quickly spiraled, especially with the qb turnover. I believe Weigman wasn't ready until he took snaps as a starter. Now that's behind us, Its obvious that moves need to be made. It will be an interesting off season, and with this season done, Jimbo is officially on the hot seat if things start off bad next year. I think we could contend for the SEC championship next year with the right moves, or we can be right back to where we are now. Time will tell, but lets put this season behind us and give Jimbo a chance to right the ship this off season.
