It really does matter when they are our main recruiting competitor. The battle for elite Houston players (Harold Perkins etc) is nearly always with them.

Change coaches and you maybe 3 years away, don't change coaches and Sips will probably pay the buyout to come in the conference earlier and totally pile on to the misery.

Oh geez, Jimbo has destroyed this program so much that instead of next season it's now in two season.

Programs and coaches can win in year 1 now. But they're ONLY doing so by abusing the transfer portal. There is weird idea thrown around Texags that we failed in the portal. Or that we need to get better at the portal. Its our FUNDAMENTAL team building philosophy to not use the portal unless is serves our high school recruiting (like Max).

You do realize that not having an offensive line in year five has nothing to do with the 2021 recruiting class. Lack of offensive production four out of five years has nothing to do with it either.

The 2022 defense however is tied to the 2021 recruiting class and it was significantly better than jimbo's crap offense.

No one relies on the amount of true freshmen we have and competes for a NC. If this group is intact and healthy as juniors, watch out. Experience and talent will matter at that point. Right now we are proof that the best HS team in America can't beat a decent, even bad college team.
