I guarantee if you combed through the Twitter, Instagram, etc. pages of the black players on the UF team you would find not just multiple uses of the N word but also multiple examples of derogatory comments aimed other races. Yet, crickets.Bogey1996 said:
I did not watch the video, but I can almost guarantee we can find some video of African Americans dudes rapping to lyrics that have the N word. I will assume all will have their scholarships pulled.

Ultimate white privilege right there. You think you get to decide what's acceptable speech in everyone's community. Tell me some words Latinos can't use, please. Also, Asians. Hey… tell us what the whole world can do or not do to meet your approval.
This kid is learning all about the lefts favorite toy, cancellation. He went from being recruited by one of the elite programs in college football to a position where he will be lucky, real lucky, to play at some Div II no name school in South Dakota.Blinnaggie2002 said:

Funny argument. Racist speech is acceptable in some communities. Maybe they should call that mean o white boy words.Quote:

You know what's funny? You do not get to tell me what I can or cannot say.

I heard Dave Chappelle say that word at least five times during the opening monologue of SNL last week. Everyone laughed and had a good time.
Weird.

People need to start suing for racial discrimination for this stuff. It is literal by definition racial discrimination. Only way this clown show might end

Using its favorite weapon, the threat of cancellation, the woke mob forces an "apology" from an 18yo HS kid. The kid, knowing if he doesn't bend to their will, he will be done. He's already damaged goods because he's been labeled a "racist" but he still might have a chance to get on with another school but in order to ensure this is must first genuflect before the alter of Leftism and beg for forgiveness. If he doesn't the attacks continue and whatever dreams he had of playing football in college go up in smoke.TheTruthsLastHope said:fredfredunderscorefred said:

False, it by definition is not racial discrimination. Two the general public is not aware of the terms and conditions said player agreed to before accepting said scholarship. Since he has apologized and acknowledged himself he was in the wrong it's fairly likely he even knows no racial discrimination took place.

One of the easiest ways to get people to hate each other, is to give them different sets of rules.Gramercy Riffs said:BurntOrangeIsBeautiful said:Charlie 31 said:And this, my friends, is the real problem regarding the "N" word. It should not be used, ever, in anybody's vernacular.PA24 said:

You're missing the point by a mile. Either everyone can say a particular word or nobody can say it. That's equality. But too many people don't want equality, they want special treatment. When you advocate for one group being allowed to do something and another not being able to, that's discrimination. It does run both ways, whether you like it or not.
Spin it around and think about your idiotic "privilege" comment. If a white person was allowed to say or do something, but other races weren't, people would riot. The funny part is that you can't see that what's actually happening is what you sarcastically called for toward the end of your post. "Tell me some words that Latinos can't use…", and so on. That EXACT thing is what's happening here, but it's happening to a white person so it's ok to have a double standard.
White people aren't the one "deciding what's acceptable speech in everyone's community." Someone else decided that it wasn't ok for white people - and only white people - to do something. If you're ok with that, then you're guilty of exactly what you're accusing someone else of, and you're gaslighting, and you're part of the problem.
Sadly, trying to convince anyone under the age of 30 to not use social media would be the equivalent of attempting to convince a kid from 20 years ago that they didn't need to a cellphone. Social media is so ubiquitous in the lives of young people that they can't conceive of the idea of not partaking in it.ag94ag said:One of the easiest ways to get people to hate each other, is to give them different sets of rules.Gramercy Riffs said:BurntOrangeIsBeautiful said:Charlie 31 said:And this, my friends, is the real problem regarding the "N" word. I firmly believe that the young man learned a life lesson. Get rid of social media, there is very little good that comes from it. If you need attention, get a pet. Kids are supposed to do stupid things and make mistakes, that is part of what growing up is about. This young man didn't take the time to realize how fast the woke/cancel crowd was going to come after him.
If he would have been doing something worth while with his time, instead of seeking attention from strangers on social media, his life would be one hell of a lot easier right about now.
