And to follow up, this is not rocket science.
We can, easily, figure out a common sense solution via a message board. But, civility and rationale will be required. I'm not an internet tought guy, but when attacked, will respond accordingly. Look at my original post, did I attack any posters. It wasn't until that geek from '94 shot his mouth off did I respond accordingly.

A way forward is to hire a team of professionals who know how to locate a great coach and pay them a great amount for a 4 year deal with lots of incentives. Wait until they are producing 10+ wins/ conference championships before giving a raise or extension. If the program is winning 10+ and playing for conf championships we pay big big $$ to keep but are never locked into a horrible contract with a dud. Never more than 4 years at a time and extensions only after year 4 or conference championship trophy is in hand.

Injuries to the OL.

Go look at the Top 10 teams and they are loaded with 4th yr players.

We had mostly young players. We lost 2 upperclassmen to medical retirement this summer and Foster got Mono to start the season. 3 starters (including Foster) were lost mid-season to season-ending injuries.

Our OL: RS Fr, Fr, RS Fr, RS Jr, So, FR (TE)
TCU OL: RSJr/Tr, RS SR, RS Sr/Tr, RS Sr, RS Jr, Sr/Tr (TE)
Tenn OL: RS So/Tr, Sr, Jr, Jr, Sr, RS Sr, RS Sr/Tr (TE)
Bama OL: RS Sr/Tr, Jr, Sr, RS Sr, So,, RS Sr (TE)
Clemson OL: Gr, So, Sr, Jr, Fr, Sr (TE)

We have 1 player that has at least 3 years of college experience. Inject a new OL Coach and there is a learning curve.

Bama has 1 player with less than 3 years experience and Clemson has 2. TCU and Tenn have zero.

Add that we lost ASmith, King, Johnson and are starting a True Freshman at QB and it makes for terrible outcomes.

Two years ago... Jimbo finished #4 in the country playing an SEC only lineup. He had mostly upperclass OL and an experienced QB.

Injuries happen. They aren't an excuse, you play the players you have and it may just be that the other team has better, more experienced players and you got beat.

Should Jimbo raid the Transfer Portal?! Probably not. It'd be nice to pickup a guy, maybe.

Getting Foster back and with Fatheree and Robinson we should both have some anchors.

JSM (RS So) and Ogunbiyi (RS So) will hopefully be back
Zuhn, Wykoff, and Crownover have gotten some good experience. All will be in their 3rd year.

We could have next year:
LT: Ogunbiyi (RS Jr)
LG: Moko (RS Jr)
OC: Foster (Jr)
RG: Robinson (RS Sr)
RT: Fatheree (Jr)

With a ton of experience behind them.

It's the board of regents, appointed by the governor. I think 6 year terms or something like that but can be appointed unlimited terms. I'm sure they have legal or consultants that they would blame. But ultimately the buck stops at the board of regents.

It's time for fans to be provided a transparent report as to who, and I mean everyone, that were involved with both Sumlins and Fishers extensions. They were such jacked up decisions that everyone involved need to be held accountable by being relinquished from the decision making process with the next coach.

As long as the Aggie logo is on the side of the helmet, and the team plays in Kyle Field, you better well believe they owe us. Just because they stack Benjamins on the table doesn't mean they have a free pass to do anything they wish with our, and I repeat OUR university. Let those guys go buy an NFL team if they want to have complete and total control without accountability.
