Jimbo in yr 1 & 2 used the transfer portal alot more to sort out forecasted issues. Where are our juco & transfer portal players this season?

Go talk to Fla State folks about Jimbo and they will tell you that toward the end he:

Refused to fire underperforming asst coaches
Had subpar O line recruiting and performance
Had a plodding, predictable offense, and
Refused to consider any changes to the O

Sound familiar?

You can't say we didn't see a glimpse of things to come in the Spring Game. If Jimbo didn't have the guaranteed contract, he would have concentrated more last year on getting experienced players from the Portal than trying to build a great Freshman Team.

3) S&C is soft.
4) Injuries.
5) Bad scheme run with freshmen.
6) No leadership in the locker room… 4-8 in 22.
7) Recruitment coordinator is a disaster.
8) Decommitments and players transferring.
9) New coordinator hired, but Jimbo still runs the same antiquated scheme… 6-6 in 2023.
10) Jimbo is still coaching Ags in 2024.

This sums it up perfectly. As John Wooden supposedly said, "sports don't build character; they reveal it." Jimbo showed everyone who he was. The players are simply following his lead.

If you watch the tape, you can see we're t h I s close. We're nearly there.

Because it is who we are. It is our culture. It is in our DNA. We have a way over inflate sense of self, ego, and entitlement.

We are not a Tier 1 program. We occasionally get a whiff of it but we will never sustain it for any period of time. We go to the top three excuses...

1. We did not execute
2. We have too many injuries
3. We are playing with a young team. (Seems like after 5 years of playing with a young team, they ought to be seasoned by now).

All of which leads to the the Ol' Army Yell.....NEXT YEAR!!!!!
