That was a great defensive stand by the Cyclones, forcing the sips to then attempt and miss a field goal. I thought for sure the sips were going to immediately score a touchdown after the blocked punt.

Touchdown, Cyclones. That was an amazing offensive series set up well by the Iowa State coaches, including proper use of timeouts by Head Coach Matt Campbell to help keep the Cyclones on track to score. The Iowa State offense just scored more points in one series against the sips than the Oklahoma Sooners did in all of last Saturday's Red River Showdown.

I still wonder why Sark called for a homerun pass on that play instead of working to get the three yards needed to continue the drive.

Iowa State QB Dekkers continues to stare down the Cyclones receivers he is targeting and the sips adjusted to that, leading to the INT and touchback. Dekkers needs to release the ball earlier or else look off his targeted receivers before going to them.

Ewers has been erratic today. On some plays he is spot on and throwing laser-perfect passes to his receivers. On other plays he is overthrowing receivers and almost throwing INTs. I am still baffled at what he was thinking when he tried to down the ball to a receiver on the ground behind him earlier in the 1st quarter.
