A couple more years for them to fluff up their records to the 7-5 or 8-4 range before sliding into the SEC looking at 4-8 to 6-6 ranges. Oh wait, the Sips are already in that range, so maybe 5-7's become 3-9's?

Doubt that happens. Oklahoma is already off the schedule to play SEC teams.

You have a lot of faith in Kansas and Tx Texh. Even with Ou seemingly headed for a down year (same record as us now) there still light years ahead of where we want to be as a program.

Really? What exactly is so great about OU's "program" without Riley. I get it's great to have the history of 7 Nat'l Championships, but they haven't won one in 22 years. How is their program so much better - right now?

OU has made the playoffs multiple times recently. They have MUCH more recent success. And 22 years is a lot less than 83 years. Saying they have not been a better program is naive.

An SEC West team lost to a G5 at home, in year 5. Good try though.

When's the last time A&M lost a head coach to another program?

Better, yes. But looking to the future, from here forward, I would not say they are "light years" better.

They got lucky with a really good young coach in Riley, who for some reason (maybe mostly $, but also chance to win a championship) thinks USC is a better deal.

You cannot be serious right now? Not even going to believe you actually want a objective response.

Currently probably not but the same goes for Jimbo even more so. He's further and further removed from the one great season with Jameis and winning a down ACC a few times.

They haven't lost to a G5 school at home. And we've been blown out without making the playoffs. Again you cannot be serious.

Did you expect the conference to not schedule games with tu and OU? They are in the conference until they aren't. That could be next year or after 2025, nobody knows.

Seriously? Jimbo and Sumlin were both heavy pursued by other programs. The reason we don't lose head coaches is because when they are in demand we pay them enough to stay.

Losing coaches doesn't mean your program is good. It means your program is poor.

i would say that a&m is in no position to fire shots at anyone. has anyone looked at the div 1 offensive team stats? they truly are so horrible that you have to wonder if a&m really has a head coach. i've hated the horns for 50 years but currently they're headed up as we were after hiring jimbo. he's now in a big hole which is indisputable. i have no idea how he digs out. only a blind person can't see that he's badly mucked it
up. i honestly think the horns would have no problem with our team. we simply can't score making every game a nail biter. this was the rc era. never comfortable.

If we would have played for a title in '12 and '13, efficient would have happened in the Big 12, then yes, we would have parlayed that to a playoff trip or two.

OU is done similar to Nebraska. Their only hope was staying and is staying connected to Tu teet for recruiting purposes. Without a Texas connection, and even with it still in the future playing an SEC schedule, they're done.

Well, we definitely know how to beat future Head coaches that solid careers after we beat them with one of work coaches ever. When was the last time Tu or LSU had a coach worth stealing? Mack maybe? Nobody was trying to steal Les Miles from LSU except maybe Michigan.

If you read this carefully, and most won't…
Quote:

Though there was a belief that Texas and Oklahoma may have been attempting to exit the Big 12 one year early in 2024, sources told Dodd that Fox would likely have demanded a return to make its future programming whole, including a top-tier selection of games years into the future given the marquee programs would have left its airwaves early.
The Big12 is "finalizing" plans. The Big12 would be penalized by Fox if TX/OU were gone. But TX/OU don't owe that on top.

It's very clear where this article was sourced from. (Cough cough the Big12 office).

FOX, who has too much inventory in 2024, will dump this for the right negotiation , which is all this is.

Just watch.

Riley set their program back decades. He did them dirty. It's one thing for a coach to leave, it's another to take several assistance coaches, players (starting QB), and recruits with you. Riley is a snake.

OU is in free fall mode. The NIL and their current coach have taken away the competitive advantages they once had. If you can't discern that, there's no real hope in trying to discuss collegiate football with you.
