I see. Were we expecting too much against Appalachian State? That game alone, no matter what the record ends up being, created a stench to the entire season. You win that game and at 4-2, coming off of back-to-back losses against Mississippi State and a near win versus Alabama, and our fanbase is in an unequivocally different head space than where we are right now. There will always be an expectation to beat inferior opponents as an SEC West team, given the funding, recruiting, facilities, and resources this school has compared to most.
