Zero chance he ends up at A&M, my god this guy is going to be a HC somewhere and this board thinks he would want a position coaching spot under fisher.
Rhule hates Addazio? What's the story there?South Platte said:Rhule hates Addazio. His first move would be to fit Addazio with concrete boots, which might be the best move for the program anyway.Bill Superman said:
On top of that, Rhule has worked with Addazio while at Temple and could get on the same page again with him in no time and have our offense firing on a cylinders.
Rhule inherited a 1-11 Baylor team in 2017 and had them at 11-1 by 2019 and in the big12 championship.
Rhule inherited a team that went 7-6 under interim Jim Grobe. Rhule's first team went 1-11.

Matt did a good job at Baylor, but he is a defensive guy.
He's coached both ways. Was Temple's OC for 4 years.
But this is all a silly exercise. He's going to be a HC for a pretty good program by the end of the year.

has he ever called plays?
Maybe Auburn.TXAGBQ76 said:
He is not going to be a college coordinator. He will be snatched up by one of the current and soon to come HC openings, he will have his pick.
Well can't the peeps that hired him force him to take this OC as a stipulation to keep his job?My Name Is Judge said:

5 years in & y'all still don't get that Jimbo is only going to do things his way…
When Addazio got to Temple, he demoted Rhule, who had been OC for Al Golden. Not sure why Rhule didn't follow Golden to Miami, maybe he wasn't invited on the plane.Bill Superman said:Rhule hates Addazio? What's the story there?South Platte said:Rhule hates Addazio. We not firing Jimbo...Nothing to do with gutsBaylor81 said:
Rhule is an amazing motivator and his preferred defensive schemes are super solid. Offense is a bit too conservative because he's trying to control ball possession. He and his staff didn't take a liking to recruiting and problems would have shown up if he'd remained at Baylor. I still love and am very grateful for what he did at Baylor.
The gutsy call would be to fire Jimbo and hand over all that talent to Rhule with the understanding that he's a 3-4 year bridge to the next guy.

While we are dreaming, Scott Frost would be an interesting option. Yes, he sucked at Nebraska but I think he was too focused on bringing back the old Nebraska. His offenses at Oregon and UCF were top 5.
While I wish this was true, it's not.ABATTBQ11 said:
Matt Rhule never beat a ranked team at baylol

Jimbo is very loyal to his coaches and players. Loyalty is a great trait although it can hurt the good of the whole team at times. There are times loyalty must be forsaken for the good of the organization. Principle: Jimbo's loyalty is more of a benefit to the A&M football program than it is a negative. Trust Jimbo to make the right calls at the right time on coaches and players.
Thats funny. Trust Jimbo.
He is going to be a Head Coach, we should target kansas' OC.Bill Superman said:
This would be a slam dunk OC hire if Matt Rhule doesn't land a HC gig back in college.
Play calling duties can be handed over to him entirely with full confidence from Jimbo.

This is a too good to be true hire that would require some luck and a lot of convincing, which Jimbo seems to be great at. Throw some extra titles his way and make this happen!
