King was in because he was the best choice for this year due to being true dual threat. Johnson is less mobile but with a clean pocket can distribute but isn't as good as Mond. Weigman likely just is not a good choice to insert into conference play due to being a little green.

But focusing on QB as the solution is what know nothings do. Look at the whole thing. If it were merely a leadership problem then Max has the stature and is a veteran. It isn't just leadership. The team is not seasoned.

When the offensive line gives Johnson time he delivers.
