It's easy, really. Rankings and Vegas like to get pretty "scientific" with their predictions and go with the eyeball test. That's what college football is based on when you think about it. Right now, they know A&M is playing with a lot of youth and going on the road to an opposing SEC team's stadium for the first time this season. Mississippi State passes their eyeball test by putting up a lot of points, and they are at home - they're also averaging 37 points a game. The Aggies, on the other hand, were opportunistic in the Arkansas game, but are not in a betting man's best interest right now because of how limited the offense has performed. That part is widely publicized, so it's challenging for anyone to pick us. We are averaging just over 21 points per game. While the defense has been the equalizer in our wins, will it perform well enough, on the road, against a high-scoring offense to turn the tide in the Farmer's favor? Vegas does not think so. I, on the other hand, happen to predict the defense holds up just eough, and the offense is able to build off of the Arkansas game to continue moving the ball on the ground to score some points, and play keep away from the Pups, to take the W on the road.

What's truly baffling is our past 4 years recruits vs. Theirs? Our coaching staff vs. Theirs? It just doesn't make sense. Can some explain those variables?

First real away game and hostile crowd, and those damn cowbells get pretty unnerving. Answer, put it to Miss State early and often and take the cowbells out of the game.

Defensively, we'll continue to run a 3 man front and they'll expose our LB's and run through us until we load the box, then they'll start throwing it down field, because they watch tapes.

We need this team to finish 6-6 or 7-5, so the pressure can be put on Jimbo to hire an OC. If not, Jimbo will believe what he's doing is working. That happens and we turn into another FSU, but with more money.

Leach has a history of kicking a&m in the nuts.

Our offense hasn't scored more than 17 points in 3 straight games while Leach tends to be able to score alot of points.

(Our offense sucks ass and we only won the last two games because opposing field goal kickers missed field goals they should have made)

How did that work out for App St?

Showed up completely unprepared last time. I thought that was why Elko was let go. Showed up completely unprepared for hillbilly inbred U this year. Elko wasn't the problem. Jimbo doesn't seem like the type to fail that badly twice, but that's what's the oddsmakers believe. Not surprising at all.

The 3 Man Front is tailored to the Pirate Offense. They won't have numbers by their receivers. Our 3 man front is Quick enough to get pressure on the QB. BUT... If Leach also used to like those real wide splits and we have to watch them running.

I don't think they have faced a defense as talented as ours. Our D hasn't come close to reaching their peak.

Offensively. Is Moose, or Jalen or Chase going to get more attempts, or will Max look for FR TE's and Receivers. YES Sub-Zero being gone is a huge LEADERSHIP loss. Who or Will someone be next to step up for the critical catch in crunch time. Or we'll have to execute across the board consistently enough we won't get to crunch time.

I think the our FR receivers will become more featured. They seem to be able to get open.

And for what it's worth the talking heads picked the OVER at 45.5 thinking MsSt will score a lot. Again, I don't think MsSt has played a team as talented as the Ags. But then again Leach does have a Long History of success against us, and he's proud of it!!!
