Who from our #1 recruiting class is likely redshirting?

He's a regular in the 2 deep

Redshirting is almost completely a thing of the past. I mean, some guys will redshirt incidentally, but it's not really part of a roster management strategy anymore.

You might see some guys like OL or QB retain their redshirts if they aren't starters, but the odds of them being here 5 years is super slim. If they're really good, they'll go pro. If they're not great, they'll be counseled out and transfer. The general strategy for most positions is to throw them out there and see what you have.

And Stewart has been all over the field.

They are for sure talented. I guess we just didn't realize how much more compared to the returning guys. Such that we are going through a learning curve with them rather than play more experience. I guess this is all in the plan because Jimbo said we are still on track to our goals.

I have gone from being very frustrated about the O execution/play calling and porous defense, but there is nothing I can do so last 2 games I have just enjoyed what I can and look for the progress.

The only guys who seem to redshirt are O Lineman it seems like…

Don't care if any kid redshirts any more in today's football with the portal it's all in every year.

Chad Powers will 100% redshirt, and finish out his eligibility here at A&M. He is just built different. Old school. One of those guys that people will doubt his whole career, but he will quietly win a couple Super Bowls for someone.

What football team have you been watching??????

Most of these players need as much time possible to grow physically and mentally to compete at the college level much less the pros. It does most of them a disservice to not take advantage of that year IMO. For most, not all.

All the o lineman, Sylla, Leveon Moss, and the linebackers. Don't think I've seen Enai White or Brownlow Dindy much if at all, although I think Dindy has been injured, and may still work his way into the rotation. Noah Thomas probably will redshirt. Weigman obviously.

Gotta keep this group together.

Speaking of him. Any word related to his injury after he limped off? Wasn't sure if I saw him come back in or not but we were nearing the end of the game.

Seems like we had quite a few limp off that I haven't seen injury update news about. He was one I forgot about leaving.

I heard a rumor that Chad doesn't have any eligibility left.
