Last year I watched Max get knocked on his butt multiple times, but he just kept getting up to deliver that last pass to outscore us. The kid has street cred!!

He also threw for an average of 330 yards against them and 5 TDs. Oh, and like 3 of those INTs were tipped, but who's counting?Drum5343 said:TyperWoods said:

Max is average 10/20 passing for right around 145 a game. That kinda speaks to what Typer was saying. Haynes was higher risk, higher reward. Max is lower risk, lower reward. When the defense and special teams can score and hold the opponent to 9 or 21 points, that's great. Let's hope they continue to do so.
Wins are a team stat, not a QB stat. The defense and especially the run game are much improved in the last 2 weeks thanks to the return of an All American center.Bill Superman said:Aggies2009 said:He also threw for an average of 330 yards against them and 5 TDs. Except the reward with Mad Max has been higher so far with 2 top 15 W's…
I love Foster, but his snaps against Arky were piss-poor - obviously that's only part of the equation (pre-snap reads, blocking, etc), but he did not do Max any favors getting plays rolling. Regardless of who's at center, it's clear Max provides a more complete package at QB.Bunk Moreland said:
Max also had the benefit of Foster for 2 games. Had Max won the job in camp we may have seen the opposite situation.
So many if's and but's. Who cares. We're rolling with Max now. It's time for him to keep stacking wins however he and the team can.

If I was Hayne's mom, I'd say he's gotten a really rotten run of luck.
Was looking OK and getting into a groove last year when he was injured. This year, he took the heat breaking in a new line, which is getting better just in time for Max to come in and look like the better QB… when he may or may not be.

It's incredible. I think we have some of the best fans in the country, but our fanbase can be so toxic at times. Consistently starting threads to bash a qb who has done nothing but give his best for our team and we continuously trash him for a variety of reasons. Don't believe that? Go reread this thread.

You can see the difference with that one fact alone…

ZERO turnovers the last two games.
max also seems to have a much better feel for dealing with pressure (which is coming with this o-line so far.)
last night's game was probably a blow-out loss with haynes at qb.
He just plays calmer. In the face of pressure, he's stepping in and still looking down field. And I don't care what his 40 times are, he runs with much more feel than Haynes (who always looks awkward).
Foster being sick isn't why Haynes repeatedly made bad throws into double or triple coverage for picks.Bunk Moreland said:

Of course it was. And several people blue starred it. As I said earlier, it goes beyond being unhappy with play on the field. Our fanbase is extremely toxic and entitled at times. It's sad.GigEmMortis said:maroonthrunthru said:

Seems like an unnecessary dig at Haynes' dad

I'm surprised after 2 wins there are still people trying to argue Haynes is better.
But if you want to nitpick and blame Hayne's struggles on another player, I can do that too-
Max didn't have Evan Stewart and Chris Marshall to throw to against Miami.
Haynes did have them against App St.
How in the heck is that bashing the QB? I'm merely making the case that while most fans have decided that Max is superior, I don't think it's nearly that obvious or cut and dried.Entourageag07 said:Bluecat_Aggie94 said:

To be fair that is pretty much every fanbase that doesn't have a top tier or at least an established veteran QB.Entourageag07 said:Bluecat_Aggie94 said:

This is a logical fallacy. Tom Brady's dad sold insurance.maroonthrunthru said:

I think they are probably both mediocre. They aren't great by any stretch, but I don't think they suck.Bassinagfan said:
