3 down lineman against a team that's run heavy with a huge running QB. What's the logic here especially when LB is your weakest link and DL is a strength?

Durkin prefers 3 down with a corner to "pass rush" (read: stand there and don't effect the play in any possible way") to a 4 DL front.
But, it's normal....because we all know how not-hyped and talented our defensive line is.
Its not like we literally hauled in 5 or 6 of the top 20 d linemen by promising them Laynes money or anything.
