I've been in a pick-em pool for about 8 years. CFB / NFL starts with NFL Week 1. Every year we have anywhere from 80-100 people.
$100 buy in
8 picks ATS either NFL or CFB. 2 are star picks worth 2 points for a max of 10 points a week. The pool is run on Officefootball pool and lines release on Wed. Picks can be changed up until kickoff. There are multiple ways to at least win your entry fee back.

Here's a copy of the payout rules, I think the winner last year took home about 1600, 2nd 1200. I got 4th a few years ago and won 600 or so.

C. PAY-OFFS for the 2022 Big League Pickers Club
1. WEEKLY winner 2% after expenses below (TIES split the 2% equally).
2. LEADER after weeks 1-6 = $140
3. MOST POINTS weeks 7-12 = $140
4. MOST POINTS weeks 13-18 = $140
4. PERFECT 10 for the week = Bonus pool split of $300
5. WEBSITE HOSTING ($3 per entry)
6. Remainder of the money will be paid to the highest cumulative scores. The payout table is below.

D. In the event of a tie between 1st, 2nd or 3rd place etc. at the end of the regular season, we will take the monies from each respective position, add them together, and divide them equally among the individuals whom tied.

It's almost that glorious time of the year again and we're back on, $100 buy-in, see above for email and rules. I got 3rd last season and won $983, so not bad. Last season we ended up with 95 pickers.
