If I was going to announce a freshman as a starter, I would be slow to announce it because I would want to see more reps and practices before deciding to go with a frosh QB.
Think at this point the players know?

All camp? We were told they were getting equal reps earlier. What's your source?
Maybe it has happened but I don't know of any players who have transferred this close to the start of the season. Wouldn't that limit your transfer options to only jucos?

At this point I would give them all similar hair cuts, remove the name on the back of their jerseys, put visors on their helmets, keep their helmets always on, and hide their identities all year. You know, keep people guessing.
No one is transferring this time of hte season cause they are not able to go anywhere and enroll in school and play any reasonable snaps this season -- just doesnt happen.

I intentionally left out redshirt freshmen as that is not CW
Johnson should be the starter. Conner W might be ready later in season. I also hope I'm wrong about King. Jimbo knows way more than me about QB's. I trust his judgment.

Yes, of course it is, that's what I'm saying. If CW beats out Johnson and King, why are we assuming its going to be a bust season and not that CW could be the next Dan Marino? I actually think we should be excited if he beat those two out because it would mean he's likely to be the next great.

I've said this a 1,000 times. It was extremely clear Jimbo was very high on King during last year's offseason and fall camp. You could tell by the glowing comments that he was blown away by his potential. Would have been very surprised if he didn't surface first this year.dcg4403 said:

Some of the bias is absurd. If CW is that good that Jimbo feels confident to name him the starter I'm going to be pretty pumped about the potential and future because that must mean he's pretty damn good.

No, I would even suggest going by only Kent St would be very misleading. I think we're also shuffling similar information and drawing our own conclusions. We'll see when we see. No, because I don't think Jimbo is that type of coach to be dishonest with players as to where they stand. That said, I think there's a pretty low chance Weigman is the starter.85AustinAg said:

Kings interceptions werent reported as any higher than Johnson. None of us have that public information

So do Johnson and weigman
You do know practice is scripted, often times situational where the defense knows the play, right? King did not throw any more picks in the scrimmages this fall by anything I've read
Manning was starter because Colquitt and Helton for injured during season.
King stumbles and if CW is next man up - that's CW's path
