Well, ladies and gents, we can go ahead and throw in the towel this year. ESPN has released the Bowl projections and we have been relegated to play Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl (say both Bonagura and Schlabach).

Spoiler alert! ESPN has Bama and tOSU playing in the championship with UGA and Clemson losing in the Semis.

I also think it will be Bama vs Ohio St in the title game. I don't think Clemson makes the playoff unless DJ shows a lot more than he did last season. It'll be very interesting to see who fills that fourth slot.

Committee will rotate in a Pac12 school with its demise on the horizon.

Would the Sugar Bowl be bad?

Based on our last 10 years, how exactly is the Sugar Bowl a bad thing?

Count me among those who are confused by the frown. I clicked expecting to see Liberty or something.

Would it be frustrating to not make the playoffs? Certainly. But if media is picking Sugar Bowl, that's a far cry from what they usually give us. I'll take it.

Sugar Bowl means we are the best SEC team that didn't make the playoffs. Which would mean we had one of the best seasons we've ever had.

Let's be real. Have you seen how SEC teams do in the non-playoff Sugar Bowls??

If we don't make the playoff every single junior or senior that's close to being drafted will declare.

That said would love to have a Sugar Bowl win.

If we don't go 17-0 we are a failure as a program.
