First, whether you believe or not, i had no idea how whether or if he even played another game when i checked back on this thread for the first time in a week.

Second, I see all you do is look at a stat line. So, once again I'll tell you why I think he's not a goid NFL QB. But i want YOU to respond with particulars of why he IS!

A. His decision making is bad. in fact, REALLY bad. both from a speed recognition factor and a tendency to make bad choices- throwing balls up fir grab in critical situations, throwing to the "wrong" man or trying to make a particular kind of throw where he either diesnt have the ability or the liklihood of success.

B. Accuracy problems. He isfine with quick slants and short over the middle wherehe has a direct line to a WR right in front of his vision. And he can occasionally (rarely) throw other nice passes, but in general he overthrows receivers, throws a lot of "medicine" balls where he leads the WR into potential calamity, and has shiwn ZERO potential to make "all the throws" ( or even HALF the throws) required of NFL QBs.

C. Combination of the two above that leads to a number of really "WTF" bad throws in every game- some while not even under pressure.

That will NOT keep you in the league long. Have you visited various Viking fan sites to see what THEY think about him.? People that have no dog in the hunt (or clue) about his A&M history. You might find it eye opening.

Now, tell me Mr. Not A Cop, why you think he is a goid NFL QB.

Now you are shifting the goal posts. First you said you didn't think he would get the second string spot based on his performance last week, now you want me to prove that he's a "good" QB after you were shown your take was ridiculous and you disappeared.

Mond can have a quiet NFL QB as a backup on a lot of teams. He's a dedicated worker, he can be great on some days, and he's not going to rock the boat where you have to worry about his personality causing drama on your team. He has never had injury issues even with him sacrificing his body with his play style. He can make any throw on the field. Does he do it often or consistently? No, which is why he will probably never be a starter. But he will find a spot to land and play a few games every couple of years on an NFL team if he continues to grow like we have seen so far.

I can't believe you are still arguing that he looked worse than Mannion last week. It's a dumb argument man, just let it go. You were wrong, when you got called out on it, you said anyone who disagreed with you must not have watched the game, because the announcers agreed with you. Then when it was pointed out that the announcers did not say that, you vanished until he played bad and are now trying to change what the conversation was originally about.
You sure about this? Seems like he was a leader/instigator in the Sully stuff recently. I would count that as boat-rocking.

Amazing how so many Mond haters are keeping Mond relevant by flooding threads related to him.

Didn't seem to bother the team he lead to a 9-1 record and top 4 finish we all thoroughly enjoyed. And lucky for him NFL teams don't care either.

Not a Cop- I'm going to have to end this if you want to make up stuff and can't keep to the argument of whether Mond is a good NFL QB or not. I wasn't "shifting goalposts" if you even know what that means- I told you EXACTLY why I think Mond is not going to be the backup QB.

2nd, I never ONCE mentioned Mannion or how he played in comparison to him. WHERE DO YOU GET THIS STUFF. I told you I didn't think he'd even be with MN in three weeks. For all I know and care, neither will Mannion. Why are you so hell bent in dissing an honest assessment which is apparently quickly becoming a widespread opinion within and without the Viking organization?

By the way, what the hell is MN doing bringing in a backup QB this late in the season?????? Surely it can't be because they think their backups may not be up to par. No, that couldn't possibly be it. Buncha damn haters they are!!!

Had to laugh at this one. Now I know you don't have the football acumen, and I feel a little silly arguing with you. No, Mond can NOT make any throw on the field- not by a long shot. When people use that phrase, they don't mean it to mean every once in a blue moon, when conditions are just right, a QB can throw that throw.

Of course. Any NFL QB within a 1/4 mile of a practice field can "make every throw", but you really don't even understand what that means.

You can have the last word, or as many as you like- I've said all I need.

The assertion was that he wouldn't rock the boat. You would agree with that assertion because the team went 9-1 that year? I think the record is almost irrelevant, it's whether that person might rock the boat if someone said the owner's great-great-great-great-great grandfather might have once said the n-word or something.

Wrong. It did NOT rock the boat with the people who actually mattered, the players and coaches.

The Snowflakes whose feelings got hurt because Kellen had an opinion had zero direct involvement in how the team performed.

If he only rocked the boat with people who didn't matter, he still rocked the boat. And who matters is just, like, your opinion man.

Replace former students/donors with team management/owners and the people with whom the boat is rocked suddenly matters. Especially when you're not a superstar.

Well, it looks like the Vikings just traded for another backup. Nick Mullens from the Raiders.
