Any word on Myles's health? He was expected to start, right?

Haven't heard yet, but it didn't look good. Would be a huge hit for Myles. The NFL scouts have had their eye on him, and he desperately needs to play a full season healthy.

Really hoping it was just a bad sprain or something.

That's tough, I was hoping to see him do well this year.

Not sure about starting… I think Jaylon Jones and Tyreek Chappell we're going to be the starting corners, however Myles and Brian George we're going to provide depth. That goes without saying that Denver Harris and Smoke Bouie could possibly pass them up and get on the field.

Premium board was saying he was gonna start ahead of JJ, I'm sure JJ feels awful, not how you want to win the job.

our DB depth was something I was really excited about. Hope this is not a long term injury.

Does one injury change that?

not necessarily but it means we're one closer to it. Never want to see an injury on day 4 to a guy who's been around the program for years and was going to challenge to start this year.

We have 26 DB's on the roster. I hope he gets better, but, not like we have 5 DB's available.

I agree. I always viewed him as a liability.

Myles Jones will always be one of the more frustrating Aggie players in my memory. The guy has the body to be an elite corner, and has shown flashes of greatness both in coverage and in his ability to come up and make tackles. He just hasn't ever put it together at the same time, and as some have mentioned he has been a liability at times. I wanted him to be good, but it seems he is snakebit and likely now passed up on the depth chart for good.

didn't realize Myles was still on the roster.

he's not just a Sumlin recruit, but also a Sumlin player (2017)

He is good. Any CB is going to get beat from time to time. I think some people are relating his play in the Arkansas game, when he wasn't fully recovered, to his entire career and that just isn't the case. When healthy he's been very good.

He had a good 2020 season. Outside of that I think he has been just OK. Maybe I'm still bitter about him getting beat on the UCLA fake spike.

If there's a stat about corners being beat for a td, there's not a close second. It didn't start or end with the Arkansas game.

Because he got beat a lot.

Agreed, Even though I'm nervous when he's out there, still would love to see him prove me wrong this year and go out with a bang. We sure could use the depth, suspect we'll have to contend with injuries in the secondary several points during the season.

Nobody here knows if he is actually badly injured or not, but let's go ahead and assume his career is over so we can bash the hell out of him. Yay texags!

I think y'all are thinking of Charles Oliver. Man was a walking 1st down in 1v1 coverage.
