I'll be shocked if they finish before season starts… they really should be done with this already considering there hasnt been any washout days lately.

Five weeks left before opening day. Phase 1 construction and hardscape finishing up. Mostly landscaping left. Easy.

Phase II (Association building) will be sited in back right corner near parking lot and is scheduled for next year.

1) It is nearly impossible to finish any construction projects on time. Between material availability issues, delivery/shipping challenges, random price escalations, and ongoing labor shortages, it is a minefield of issues and construction was hard enough before all of that.

2) They obviously sequenced the lawn and music venue to be complete in time while they work themselves out of the site to the east. My guess is that they will be out by the end of September or so.

They haven't started the large new Association building that will be used for large events like Ring Day. It will be built where all the construction trailers are. I believe they'll finish up the landscaping & pull back & fence the the construction trailer area. They'll build the new building behind the fences & it will be ready next year.

Having worked construction projects up there, the summer is when we made hay. The day the students leave, ton's of projects kick-off, so much easier to negotiate the campus in the summer.

Yep, the building is Phase II and has always been scheduled for completion in '23. Everything else is Phase I and will be ready for the first home game.

I check the camera nearly every day, so I see how quickly things can get done. I think they'll achieve the Sam Houston game deadline for the first phase.

I don't see a lazy river in there anywhere.

The Texags community is going to be very disappointed.

Plan is to fill it with tears from USC alums after this weekends pool party.

What is the structure that looks kind of like a convenience store? Hopefully, they are building an ample supply of pissers.

It seems this rendering still accurately represents the final build-out?

Pffftt.........water slide originating on Kyle's top deck, 360 ride around the stadium exterior as it descends, splashdown in the new lake. Go big or go home.

That's the senior slide.

Freshmen get a near vertical drop slide with a clear top that drops from 3rd deck and under Houston street before angling up and launching into the lake.
Call it the fish (salmon) cannon...

There is still a lot left to be done. It might look close to finished but the lake area has lots of details that are going to be rushed. Just because part of it looks green doesn't mean that it the rest will go at that speed. Look at all of the concrete formwork still in place along the lake. The buildings aren't even completely dried in yet. This project should be starting the punch list phase at this point and it looks like they don't even have power to that pavilion. They still have to do sidewalks and landscaping around the buildings, which can only start after all of those lifts are out of the way. If I were looking at this realistically, I would say it's at east 2 months out. They are going to have to work long days, 7 days a week to deliver what they are promising.

The long skinny building is a creamery....like Ice Cream.

Electrical contractor green lighted their employees last week with the option to work 7 days a week on it the next several weeks if they want the overtime hours.

I only see about ten guys standing around. From my Austin road building observations you need at least fifty.

Man, A&M has changed so much. The whole main part of campus right around Kyle is so nice. Time to facelift Koldus or get it the hell out of there, imo.

Drove by yesterday and saw a lot of what looked like concrete forms that needed to be poured. Looked like quite a bit, but the forms take longer to make than concrete takes to be poured so hopefully that's on schedule. And the concrete might be poured at night, due to heat, which saves the daylight to work on other things

Creamery was a great idea! When all phases are completed it will be one of the best additions to campus ever!

I see the big problem being that when they get the remaining sod or hydoseed/mulch in it won't be established and ready for all the traffic that will undoubtedly be there on game weekends.

Long live the Spence Park lazy river. Had a buddy a few years back, when we played Clemson at Kyle, float down the drainage ditch when the water level was really high. Hilarity ensued afterwards.

Anyways the new park looks great!

They're also going to have Aggie mosquitoes that are trained only to bite the opposition.

No but really, that looks really beautiful.
Currently a happy listless vessel and deplorable. #FDEMS TRUMP 2024.
