Here's a novel idea: all the FBS teams should get together and form a massive superconference known as The Big NCAA. It will unite all regions of the country, and everyone will play everyone else at least once every 50 or 60 years. The conference champion will be the champion. They could even adopt the SEC slogan "It just means more." In this case, it really would mean more. A LOT more!

Here is a more novel idea: stop creating more posts about superconference ideas and suggestions since we already have about a dozen of these superconference posts active here in the Zoo

Maybe. That was what Sankey suggested by planting the idea he would take the best two teams from the Autonomy Five conferences and by separately floating a trial balloon of eight-team SEC playoff playing against the best of everyone else.

The NCAA transformation committee is trying to work out a model that delegates control of each division (and potentially specific sports like football or basketball) to a federation-like structure like the international sports federations FIFA and FIBA.

Who knows what will actually happen, but I doubt seriously that bowls survive or that the playoff returns to two teams.

It's not too late. Maybe if they change the name to OU & SUPERFRIENDS they can save the day.
