It's clear to me they aren't upset that we got the number 1 class after an 8-4 season. They are annoyed by this but not afraid.

What's really got their milk spoiled is thinking through if this happens after 4 losses, what will happen if A&M actually wins the west?

It's the extrapolation that has them terrified. Not where we are right now.

I have lost count of how many "Y'all are still gonna lose" comments I have heard. It's quite comical watching them lay their hopes for success on that somehow we will trip over ourselves.

It's fun to celebrate the best class EVER, but as more and more of these threads have popped up, it's making me realize how upset so many people will be the next time our class is ranked, say, sixth.

Imo, they realize now, for certain, that with the SEC move and the Jimbo hire that the sleeping giant is AWAKE!

I think it will totally depend on how we play on the field. We had one loss in 2019 and beat Bama the next year, number 1 class.

I think it's simple. The top 5 teams will included SEC teams. How who is ahead of who will depend on the performance on the field.

Being awake isn't the same thing as being effective. But it's good to see our foes pins their hopes on us screwing up. We just need to make sure we take care of business.

You can't consistently be effective until the entire University, athletic dept., staff, football program,
and boosters, are awake. Awake is realizing the full potential of the University, it's resources, and making the necessary decisions and commitment to win.

That is where we are at now. Next level results should follow and then the key will be consistency. Time will tell but it extremely promising.

He basically said the rant by Jimbo was done to lower expectations for future recruits who think they will get paid bigtime to go to A&M. He said on Finebaum he barely follows recruiting. I don't think he's any kind of expert on A&M NIL deals. He may know about Bama's deals, which is why he is throwing around numbers in the millions.

What scares them now is that we can use our most important and plentiful asset- MONEY.

What's funny is that we have had 3 straight top 10 recruiting classes leading up to this year and people act like we came out of nowhere. Sure NIL is a big part of it, but I think people on both sides are arguing what is the ratio of NIL vs other factors and that is different for each recruit. A&M has a lot to offer and other schools are also offering NIL so it is not 100% NIL for every recruit. It may be 90% NIL for one recruit and 40/60 NIL versus chance at the league, coaching, facilities, gameday experience, playing time, etc. for other recruits.

Yet no one is surprised at tu's class when they were 5-7 this year and 7-5 last year in a craptastic BIG 12 and got absolutely steamrolled by the only SEC team they played. Not to mention they have a drunk barely over .500 all time record head coach. They reportedly gave every OL (including backups) $50K without much NIL evidence at least to start with and Ewers is getting millions and only had two snaps at Ohio State. Where is the public outcry for them. They have had weak to middling records in the Big 12 with the exception of two years in over a decade, but somehow their recruiting class doesn't raise any eyebrows. I keep hearing "their back", but I will believe it when I see it.

Go to SEC Rant; it's LSU, Bama, Georgia & Ole Piss fans clamoring to suck t.u.'s dick! Right now, they are in love with the idea of adding t.u. to the conference; plus, they are all pissed-off/ scared of A&M, so naturally they're in love with A&M's most hated rival. It kind of makes you wonder what ole Greg SNAKEY actually feels about A&M; if last summer was any indication, we know exactly how he feels!

I get what you're saying, but recruiting literally does not get any better than what we just did. Period. We could win the SEC and not sign a class this good again. It was a once in a generation type of class.

They're worried we're going to win, and then they will have no talking points at all anymore.

I don't frequent that site much because it is basically a LSU homer site. I liked reading the LSU Recruiting threads. I did like when one LSU poster stated that "we all showed up with a knife and A&M brought an AK-47" in regard to NIL.

As far as their new fondness of tu and Oklahoma, I used to live in the Southeast and most of those states are one or two school states and the people there think that the "Flagship" or the "The University of .." should rule, but the state of Texas is much more like Florida or California where different schools rise up from time to time. They also don't realize that A&M has more resources and is a better school than most of their flagship schools.

They have this blue blood holy than thou attitude and the hypocrisy is hilarious. Go google Bama players and Dodge Chargers and parse through the 9000 hits. Not all of the players went there just for "tradition." Just mention Albert Means to them.

I like Gregg but that was an absolutely horrible take by him. If people think that A&M put out all this money, I want to see evidence of it, until then STFU.

You might be missing a theme Jimbo pointed to: the incoming players recruited each other as much as the staff recruited them. And they're coming here to create firsts here. Hopefully that creates recruiting momentum as we win. But it really is a special set of circumstances that made this class so good. But Jimbo also pointed out it is only that good on paper and the real work has already begun with many early enrollees.

Funny how no one seems to complain about t.u. having the #5 class after a 5-7 season with a loss to Kansas and openly flaunting their OL deals.

Exactly. For all these good moves, we still haven't won anything.

All we do when the sips get unwarranted national attention is complain about how they are irrelevant.

Now we have the best recruiting class ever and we are worrying about why the sips class ranked well below us on recruiting points isn't getting questioned like ours. It's because their class is irrelevant compared to ours. We got what we wanted.

It's ok for us to take our wins and hatred from other schools as the team most likely to because a national contender and not reference anything that has to do with them.

Most of what these message board idiots know of A&M comes from their own forums where they all think of Aggies as a cult and sheep farmers. Now some of them are starting to realize the resources at A&M's disposal and are starting to panic or become fatalistic. I saw on a Sooner board where the Einstein of the forum posted that he just researched A&M and was blown away about school rankings, former student giving, Aggie CEO's and how much an Aggie education is worth. His final thought....OU is screwed.

The newcomer always gets treated this way. The Miami teams of the 80s were the bad guys while Nebraska and ou were the good guys. Never mind that both good guys were plenty corrupt.

I'll just say it, adding A&M to the SEC was a mistake on their part. You had to realize that t.u. would eventually worm its way into the fold as well, and then give it a few years and wa la! The traditional SEC schools get smothered out. Texas money is not something to toy with.. you will be whipped into submission.

The SEC title will be decided every Thanksgiving in 10 years.

My wish is that the NIL process will require some form of disclosure of these NIL deals so some clarity can emerge. It would not be amazing if Alabama and St. Nick came out near the top in NIL money changing hands. It is clear that he can work whatever "Process" is in place.

No Jimbo made the statement bc Sabin was a hypocrite and Jimbo also knows how much Sabin cheated in recruiting when he coached with him at LSU. So he was basically saying shut your mouth you crybaby. It's very easy to understand.

As far as the SEC hate from other schools. Well, they all just want to win and there's no real love for any of the other schools for the nutso fans out there. But Bama, LSU, etc do not want new blood winning.

But in the end, who cares, their hate does not affect us and how we perform. We control our own future and the future looks bright.

That win over Alabama set the tone. If we had lost that game, I really doubt that we would have the number one class.
