Sabin is definitely a complainer. I recall after Johnny beat him in 2012 he whined that restrictions should be placed on the hurry up offense. He always wants an un-level playing field in his favor ! Not this time Nick.

Lmao. We hardly even recruited against those with new coaches beyond Tu, who was in their peak because first full class. We had most our head to head wins versus Bama, Georgia, and maybe even Ohio State in this class.

And A&M has more money than Alabama. Nobody is scared of those inbreds.

The Ags definitely recruit Florida and the southeast so the Gators and The U having issues help us probably get 2-3 guys
The OU legacy flipped when Riley went to USC
We flipped a couple guys that were tu leans &
Coach Cookie Monster ( if he had not been fired mid season ) would have gotten a few kids that ended up signing with the good guys
The Ducks and the Irish recruit nationally so we do recruit against them

Regarding winning head to heads with the Bama OSU & UGa they all signed very good classes that were on par with the last few years, our success did not come at their expense our success was Because we got almost all the 5* and some 4* talent that would normally been divided among the schools listed.

I haven't heard a peep from out players talking about how much they have been offered. tu has been open about offering players, recruits have been turned off by that being all they had to talk about even. Saban was just bragging that Bryce Young had over 1 million in NIL deals before he threw his first pass.

Now "some" teams are ruining it for all the poors.

It wasn't long ago Ole Miss was paying players and buying hookers under the Freeze.

I don't like Saban and Kiffin being all self righteous, but not sure I care if people don't start to give TAMU a little respect as the big dog on the street. The Yankees have had a much higher team salary than everyone else for years and nobody cares.
We may have to roll out the maroon pin stripes if it turns out we bankrolled this class. Though I have felt it was the players who were doing the best job recruiting as what caused the big jump this year.

Someone needs to make the point that the biggest losers under NIL are the schools that have traditionally found other ways to get money to recruits, and have over the years, developed a sophisticated system for doing that, (while enjoying bulletproof status with the NCAA). That certainly explains why schools like OU, Ole Miss, and Bama are whining the loudest. They have lost their advantage.

Bold prediction for next year Most of those schools will have historic classes and there will be very little difference from 1-7 in the quality of the classes. Miami USC and the ducks will be throwing stupid money at players

This..all big time schools have money to pay the top 10 guys they want. I think you will see most schools better plan this year to pay more than us. Whether they can is up for debate. I think those other schools just continued to offer the same amount they paid under the table for top players but that is no longer enough and they will adjust to it
