I saw that the NFL is not using it. I can't say it surprises me and I know they put out that touchy-feely statement. But the reality is the NFL is so specialized with highly trained individuals that the usefulness of the test likely wore off a while ago.
Hopefully the NFL stopped using it because it was a stupid test and had almost no correlation to football success.
2 Data points -

Perfect Example - Fitzpatrick had a perfect score.

Also, teams should be put on notice for ****ty behavior in the interviews

- remember the loser GM (Ireland, who was a friggin' KICKER!) ask Dez Bryant if his mom was a *****?
- If Dez had punched that ****er in the in face, would that prove he couldn't control his emotions? Or would it just be someone putting a little power-hungry ***** in his place?

- but the GM's know the players have no control of the situation. The wrong answer could cost them huge money, especially for the draft. And I'm convinced most NFL GM's are really, really dumb.

Bad example. Fitzpatrick is still in the league (16 years now) and Young isn't.

Didn't somebody once score a 6?

Yeah, Vince Young, lol. He's borderline illiterate. Apparently he retook the test and scored a 14, which still isn't good.

So they added the two scores together?

Surprised DT/DE are so high and DB so low. I'd have had them swapped if I had to guess.

Lol dbs celebrate like they won the super bowl on incomplete passes they did nothing or got burned on but a bad throw. This isn't surprising at all.

Anyone surprised that QB isn't 1 and OL is 1, either:
  • hasn't played football
  • did play football but has a bad memory
  • or
  • isn't thinking critically about it

I was surprised by DBs and DL.

Expected DL to be lower. It is a reaction/instinct position (other than when dropped on a zone blitz). The only time recognition is required is on a screen pass. But again, that can be trained to be instinctual.

Expected DB to be higher. Safeties must be able to recognize quickly. Nickel is typically a slower CB who can recognize the play developing. Even CBs who play a lot of zone and match zone cannot be dummies.
