As great as this class is we have lots of good football players already on the roster. I would be very surprised if that many guys played in such key roles as true freshman. Also I think Blake trainor my have a chance to start at guard and don't forget about Trey zuhn at right tackle.

Has anyone run the #s of 85 - players leaving early - players out of eligibility - transfers - retirements + new recruits + transfers in. With the size of this class I am certain we are over 85 by a few and we should expect to see a few more transfers out.

With the current rules, I would expect us to be well over 85 until a few days into Fall camp.

You can just move Cupp and Chapman down the roster. Dudes are both made of glass unfortunately

I think you're forgetting that we have a dozen D-Lineman that were also highly recruited and have been in the program and are big & strong too. Starting a D-line of almost entire true fish is a recipe for disaster.

I don't think all the fish start- but I'd say most will make the 2-deep and we do a lot of rotating anyway. Gonna be a battle for the returning guys to get those other spots. I'd expect some some transfers..

-Moss probably RS. We have a ton of backs not far from his rating with time served. Unless just something crazy happens.
-Likewise I think Marshall waits a bit longer. I mean Demas is taking years to work in the lineup. Maybe injuries thrush Tim forward later in the year.
-I would imagine only one freshman tight end plays.
-Barring a collapse, I think Dewberry and Erb RS. Trainer or Zuhn or Foster kicks to RT.

At DE I'm thinking
Adeleye holds off GBD on 1 side, DHarris, Burris, Diggs, JHarris have a say before Lucas and certainly Syllas.

At DT, there's a few more bodies that might claim that last spot in 2 deep and McKinley will start, I think.

Johnson, Green and Ohrstrom have the same amount of receptions as Cupp at this point. That's probably the most wide open position on the roster.

As great as the class has been, if more than about 3 of them are starters next year, we will have a sub-optimal year!

My guess is ALL of the OL will RS but get some PT.

On D we want a 2 deep DL rotation to keep the pash rush fresh and fierce, so I can see some of the working into the rotation. But the starting DL will come from players already on the team. Turner and Jackson are legit. Raikes and Diggs are also good players. We probably need an impactful DE more than DL.


Biggest ? on D will be who plays LB along with Cooper and depth behind both starters, the DL and DB should be set and pretty damned good.

i would expect white to get plenty of time at lb.

Jackson is unimpressive. I think yall are discrediting the level of talent some of these guys are.

We compare all of these DE's that we recruited to Leal and he was a starter by his 2nd game. I think we need accept the fact that some of these guys are legit and will compete for playing time. Not discounting the older guys are good but this class is next level on the DL.

If Johnson starts they will likely move Fatherree to RT
