99% of the Aggie family treated them well, and they knew that something like that was likely exactly what it tirned out to be, yet they never stepped up to defend Texas A&M. They did Just the opposite.

Kevin Sumlin was really in over his head at Arizona. Under previous head coach Rich Rodriguez, Arizona had made 5 bowl appearances in 6 years. After a 35-30 win at Colorado on 10/5/2019, Arizona was 4-1, and Kevin , Sumlin was 9-8. Things unraveled from there. Arizona lost their last 7 games of 2019 and all 5 games in 2020. Sumlin ended his tenure on a 12-game losing streak, with 11 of those losses by 10+ points.

After a gigantic collapse at Arizona, an FCS best head coaching position is the best that Kevin Sumlin could hope for. I think coaching at Prairie View would help Kevin Sumlin to rebuild his reputation as a coach. It would be great fit for him, and I wish him good luck!

I agree with you. Prairie View lost to Alcorn State 31-29 the week before playing us at Kyle Field. After playing us at Kyle Field, they lost to Mississippi Valley 24-19 and to Jackson State 27-10.

Our cupcake game should be played in September or October, not November. Except for 2013 and 2019, our final home game in odd years was a cupcake game. Our final home game should be a conference game every year.

He was a good coach until somewhere around year 2-3 at A&M. Then he lost 'it' somehow. But he had gained ego. He needs to lose his ego before he can get 'it' back. Maybe a job at an FCS school will help him lose his ego and get 'it' back.

Speculating and claiming was bad form regardless. There were posters positively sure that it was a woman's handwriting. Regardless of who sent the letter, being at the receiving end of it is awful. And then pushing the narrative that she created it is twice as ugly.

And Sumlin never ran a bad program, it just wasn't great.

How so? Sure, they raised a bunch of money, but the product on the field was better when Sherman left. If you want to give him credit for Manziel, raising money, and moving to the SEC, go ahead. The program was on a steady decline when he left, though.
