If this moving to the SEC thing isn't quite working out as well as you planned, either because you are already losing to every team with a pulse (sip) or you are having coaches bail for the first program they can find that isn't SEC (sooner), we are willing to discuss letting you out of the deal. Well it's more a sooner post since sip hasn't lost to anyone in over a week (Texas is back, folks?)

I'd feel alot better about this post had we not just put in a season where we lost to both mississippi teams.

We almost made it to 5 posts on a thread before the wet blankets rushed in with overreacting negativity. Almost. Nice try OP.

Imagine losing to Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and a 5 or 6 loss LSU team. That's probably what they'd do.

The SEC is a whole different monster than the BIGXII.

Anyone can win in the BIGXII. You must have an abundance of 5 star recruits and huge capitol investments to be able to win championships in the SEC.

The A&M football team is way better team than it was 10 years go when it ran roughshod over weaker BIGXII competition.

Its a trade-off, but ultimately the SEC brand and money will make it all worth it.

Television stations love to show college football games with over 100k in the stands because it makes it more exciting. The capitol improvements that have been made to Kyle Field will ensure that A&M will always have a place at the table when it comes to marquee tv games.

The future of college football is the super conference.
The SEC should try and add Clemson, Florida St and Miami.

This would give the SEC the ability to set up the post season like the NFL.
The SEC Championship game in Atlanta would be equivalent to the Conference Title Game. The winner of the SEC title would get an automatic birth to the title game regardless of record.

We have been riding the coattails of others since we got to the SEC.

why stop now

This wasn't a referendum on our year, although if you want to look at it that way, OU has less defensive talent than us, possibly slightly more offensive talent (assume for argument sake), and they had trouble at QB. Overall, they had a big problem at QB like we did, let's say similar overall talent (although I think we are much stronger on D, but for argument sake let's say it is a push). That kind of trouble gets you a 10-2 record in the Big XII. In the SEC you get 8-4. Maybe I'm delusional, but I think our team would be fairly comparable to OU. But losing Riley over what appears to be their conference change has to be concerning for OU.

As far as sip goes, I wonder if they would have won any SEC West games if they were in the conference this year? Maybe 1 at most?

I legitimately wonder if their decision makers are thinking going to the SEC might be a mistake today.

Very true but comparing ourselves to Texas...put a small smirk on my face. And frankly I need a reason to smile right now. So I congratulate the OU and Sip trash talk. At least many others have much larger problems than us. All about perspective folks.
