I'm sure LSU wouldn't do it, but at the same time be careful what you wish for. I'm not sure he'd do badly at LSU. His resume as a whole is better than Ed O's was when he got handed the keys. Lester and Ed O tell me a middling coach who can recruit and get a little lucky can win a lot at LSU, up to and including a national championship.

It's embarrassing that we got beat by a coachless team. Ed O was lifeless on the sidelines. He could not have cared less. Hoping lsu screws this up and that fat doughboy assclown Woodward falls flat on his face.

I don't know if he'll end up there or not, but this is utter nonsense. Aranda may not have been their first choice, but they'd have/would be happy with him. And (at least in terms of the people doing the hiring) not as a consolation hire.

With that said, what ends up happening or what Aranda wants may be something entirely different. If one side is not showing much interest, it is Aranda who isn't showing the interest, not LSU.

Wonder what Finebaum has to say now? He would bring up Jumbo's name to every guest reporter he had on the show daily.

I wonder what affect Lincoln Riley's move to avoid coaching in the SEC West will have on LSU's search. What coach will step into the fire at LSU who fired their coach only two years after winning a NC? And with increased competition coming to the SEC West with tu and OU, it may not be as an attractive a job now. Dave Aranda is smart to stay in Waco to avoid that pressure cooker.

I wouldn't say a coachless OU and 7 loss sips are increased competition.

Pittman probably retires in Arkansas in the next 5 years or so, has had a home in Arkansas for years. Don't think he's going anywhere.

LSUs first mistake was hyping up this hire as a home run hire.

It is only a mistake if it is not a home run hire, we don't know if it is or isn't yet. Looking less and less likely though.
