Great comment (and username). As a person who knows a little about 6 strings, when you get good enough, that's when you play better with a Les Paul than a cheapy. But if you're not skilled enough, you won't even know enough to tell, or appreciate, the difference, let alone be able to "make it tell" on the fretboard.

Now I'm trying to analogize that to football, and I won't post again until I have something there.
