We forced them to make a play on their TD pass, and they did it. Good job by the QB and WR. Prevent doesn't force the offense to make the big play, rather it gives them anything BUT the big play, but enough medium sized chunks of yard make a big drive.

I hate the prevent because it allows an offense to find their rhythm.

I don't mind going nickle or dime in obvious long passing series or against passing offenses, but if your DL is your strength and possibly the best in the country at pressuring the QB, it seems like you should keep 4 DL on the field. That's a bit frustrating.

The problem was not lining up Clemons on #72 on the last drive. He was killing him all 2nd half. Why you went away from that is beyond mind boggling.

I will never understand the switch to a 3-man rush there. Haven't done that in weeks and we were mauling them with 4.

3 man rush was a bad decision. Contain the receivers at the line of scrimmage with a big bump and bull rush the QB.

The 4th and 7 play at the beginning of the drive that would have ended the game sure as hell was.

So was the 30 yard gain down the sideline right after that which really gave them the oppty they needed.

Both were ridiculous 3 man rushes and still no coverage dropping 8. Our lbs and dbs are terrible at that.

Yes, we do not know how to cover. That is why I am upset with posters against Calzada . He was fine and will be great in the future. Our D needed to come thru when we had the lead.

Exactly, the three man rush would be fine if we played a stifling 8 man coverage. But the fact is, we don't. We never have.
And we were getting great pressure with 4, so why stop?

Can't argue with the call, dropping 8 isn't a bad decision. The execution was what was horrible. I though would have rushed 4. Putting intense pressure in a must throw situation often can lead to interceptions. I do not like the conservative call, never will.
