Yeah, but a pretty big football game. A&M is now relegated to a mediocre/lack luster bowl with a top 5 class in jeopardy of decommits.

That's the problem. This year seems to show that 9 wins is the ceiling. We just can't stay out of our own way whether it's the play calling or execution. Something always holds us back.

I've never been a big Jimbo fan but do think he is a good coach.
One thing I wish he would do is hire a competent OC and turn over the offense to him.
He needs to just be the CEO .
The defense is in good hands with Elko if we can keep him.

This for offense. However, Elko just outsmarted himself to lose the game final LSU possession: 3 man D rush/ prevent D initially THEN blitz at the end??? Clemons and D were beasts 2nd half prior to LSU's final drive. No need for suicide watch, but reaching for copious amounts of Bourbon w/ that kind of D play calling at the end...smh...

Interestingly enough, the data shows that this is typically how it happens. Most coaches who win a championship do it in their first 3-4 years. Dating back to 2000, only three coaches have taken five years or more to win their title: Dabo (year 8), Mack Brown (year 8), Pete Carrol (year 5).

The coaches that ultimately win titles elevate their programs immediately. Kiffin might be doing it before our eyes.
