You mean the offense. The D gave the ball back to the O with the lead and about 3 minutes left. We needed one first down to basically ice the game but instead that dumbass HC called the trash he did on 3rd and 2.

I counted 3 critical calls. The OPI, the clear takeaway, and there was a stop on 2nd down where the refs gave LSU a very generous spot for a 1st down. Should've been 3rd and 1. It's 3rd and 1 but it matters

The African American ref on that side got lazy. Watch the replay. He stopped watching the ball and assumed the LSU returner would go out of bounds.

After the play he went and asked the other refs what happened. No one saw it so they made up some tripe about "forward progress". It was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen.

And it cost us the game. There was 1:58 left and LSU had one timeout at that point.

Unfortunately no one on our sideline saw it because it was on the other side of the field. So no one made a big deal about it. But it absolutely cost us the game.

ESPN knew they blew the call, they never showed the replay. Go back and watch it, no way he is down, whistle didn't blow and he is moving forward. We still should have stopped them but that was bad.

Pretty indefensible. Even the LSU players on the side see it happen. Several put their hands on heads, one turns away. Can't get much more obvious.

Nobody is saying this isn't on the coaches, but merely exposing a huge blown call that was exceptionally obvious. Even a simpleton like you should be able to figure that out. Then again, when someone routinely types "LOL" on their zoo and F16 posts, they've proven their cognitive dissonance is severely awkward.

Victory was basically secured at that point. That's what's important. We can say we didn't deserve to win in self pity or whatever, which is reasonable when trying to critique. But, this blown call would have ended the game despite our errors.

I generally hate "blame the refs" guy. And no doubt we shot ourselves in the foot 100 other times. But got dammit, just get that ONE call right and we still win this game. It's not that much to ask.

And I just THOUGHT BDF refs were atrocious.......
