Nick is the real honey badger and Nick don't give a damn what those fans and donors think.

The best part is the Bama fans cheering him on, completely unaware that he was ripping them to shreds. Can't wait to see those rednecks turn on him when he has a normal-team season.

Even Nick Saban can't stand Alabama fans.

He wouldn't like a lot of ours either

I love honesty. I remind myself all the time these are 18-22 year old kids. They are not perfect. I think about my athletics and how I lost and won and how much it means to play for your school. Nick is awesome.

All we need is the Joe Biden like lean into the mike, wave his hands and hard whisper..."nobody cares like WE....DO.....noBODY..."

Looks like it may be imminent.

Let's go SA-BAN!

What a goofy whiney rant by Saban. You are the highest paid college coach in the game cherry picking recruits across the country with a staff of ex-head coaches, high expectations come with the territory. What a silly look for a guy that preaches "act like you have been there".

I'd love to see what it'd be like if we went on a Bama like success run. You're most surely correct that there would be incorrigible entitled fans complaining about margins of victory. Good problem to have.

The Aggie fan base started to do this after Jackie Sherrill started beating t.u. on a regular basis. Same thing happened while R.C. Slocum was having success. Granted, the Ags have not had the long term success as Alabama. The Texas Aggie fan base has been spoiled with success in years past. DO NOT get spoiled in the future as Coach Jimbo gains success. Appreciate the success!

Right, wrong or indifferent, this is the kind of thing that happens when a program begins a downward trend. I think they may be in for a few seasons with 2 or 3 losses ahead.

Winning signs his paychecks. He has won so much he can say what he wants. Especially when he is right. He has spoiled Bama fan base like never before in college football. Can you imagine expecting/assuming you will win every game…every year? I wonder, would it be as much fun?

I, for one, would love to find out.

Bama has ruined football for everyone, not just their own fans. Everyone has to be perfect and they aren't happy if they're not. Look at the number of transfers and coaching changes. If he's not happy, it's his own fault as much as anyone's.

Yeah right. The coaching changes are those coordinators being hired away as head coaches. The transfers are 4-5 stars who don't want to ride the pine for 4 years behind a bunch of other 5 stars.

Your first sentence was accurate, should have stopped there.

Saban is tough to either play for or work for, and it isn't solely because he demands excellence. Some, especially those that knew him in Miami, think he's one of the most miserable humans that ever walked the earth. I don't think your explanation for transfers or coaching changes covers all of each. In fact, I'm not even sure it covers the vast majority. Sure, the coaches left for good opportunities (only a few have become head coaches), but I'd bet serious money some wanted out of there ASAP. Have you ever seen one go back?

I don't know that I agree fully with the quote you referenced in that Saban is to blame for what he's complaining about, however, your comment gives off a reverence for Saban that is totally unfounded. Sure, he's got a great record but he isn't all that great a person by all accounts. With that said, he's right about what he said and it isn't just about Alabama. There is far too much of an entitlement mentality among fans of all sports at all schools, including at A&M. It doesn't have anything to do with who's won what. Its ruining athletics at all levels.

Bobby Bowden went on a similar rant about 15 years ago. He said "I have won too much and have spoiled these fans". He was right.

About what? Nothing he said was bad

The funny thing about that rant was the very people he was talking about were the idiots sitting there in the audience cheering... Alabama fans that are under 40 years old have no memory about what that team was like before he got there. Bear Bryant had a good run but that was four hundred years ago.. there is a difference between having expectations and only wanting excellence and just being ungrateful and a fair weather fan because you only win by 20 instead of 40..... you give a foot and all they want is a yard, pun intended...

All are missing the point. Maybe, just maybe, Saban is saying that WINNING isn't fun anymore and if so maybe it is time for him to hang it up, RETIREMENT. Read between the lines Ags, the times they are changing. Complacency breeds malcontent. What else is there left for Saban to accomplish? Nothing.

Saban has improved college football if anything. He built a dynasty that is THE gold standard. Everyone is still attempting to figure out his model. Dabo came close but didn't quite make it to the peak. Doubt anyone ever duplicates what he has built.

Not sure how he has ruined football. Don't be a hater, just to hate.

Players leave as it is common for him to recruit the most 5 stars year end and year out (what Jimbo is doing this year). So of course some transfer out.

And coaches? He wins the natty what has seemed like for the last decade. His coaches are the hottest commodity in football. So of course they come in and go out regularly, yet, he still wins.

He is the model and I guarantee you that Jimbo is using Saban as the blueprint along with many others.
