the Aggies have had 12 seasons in a row of winning 7+ games (2009 was a 6 win season) which is the longest streak of success in the history of the program (127 years)

The total # of wins in this streak is 93; averaging 8.4 wins per season

The second-longest streak was from 1985 to 1995 (bracketed by 6 wins in 1984 & 1996)

The total # of wins in that streak was 104; an average of 9.5 wins per season

circling back to this thread...

I think Calzada's greatest contribution to the program is very similar to Trevor Knight's (circa 2016).

both QB's stepped in --- when A&M desperately needed a QB --- and they were able to deliver a respectable season.

they kept the program afloat and prevented a disastrous 4-8 or 5-7-type year --- that a lot of programs seem to have every 5 years or so, but A&M has not suffered in more than a decade

Agree. Zack did a respectable Yeoman's work this year.
However, he is not IMO going to get us to the promise land in this league.
Just don't see it.

I hope they can win out and notch a 10 win season.

With the play calling accompanied with qb play the 10 win idea is an iffy proposition regardless of opposition. Just sayin………..
