We do not play this weekend. If Baylor and Oklahoma State win this weekend do they jump us? Right now they are right below us in the rankings.

Just a way to talk about the top teams. I noticed a segment on "trending up teams" and got excited since that is definitely us.

Nope. Iowa State, Baylor, Notre Dame, and Pitt.

Should have known.

A few things are going to surprise Texags on November 2nd.

We're going to 11 or 12. Ahead of pretty much everyone but the undefeateds and 1 loss conference leaders.

Mississippi State is going to be putzing around the low 22 or 23. Because when Kentucky's luck runs out this weekend, no one is going to have 3 better wins than them. This is not an awful loss that many on here make it out to be. Arkansas is probably the worse one.

The winner of the battle for Michigan is going to #2.

Oklahoma is going to be ahead of your precious Bama.

Cincy and SMU are going to be WAY lower than you think. UTSA and Coastal won't sniff the rankings. San Diego State will be the 3rd and final group of 5 team in it.

Cincinnati has played a better schedule than Oklahoma and has looked much better against it.

A much better schedule? Are you kidding me??? Besides Notre Dame who was so tough that Cincy beat? A 2-5 Indiana team (that Ohio St and PSU looked much better beating). Or maybe you were impressed with their narrow victory over Navy this past week?

Cincy's schedule besides ND has been cream puff city. At least OU played some Big 12 squads.

Agreed, but they are way overrated. The Ags would beat ou and cincy by 10+.

Either #8 or #6 is going to lose. Doubt either one drops below 14 with only 1 loss.

The surprise is going to be Oklahoma not as high as the voters have them right now

Their schedule has been garbage and they've looked like garbage against it

ha ha.

so true.

with us last year it was "well, A&M hasn't been winning convincingly"

with OU, it's "well, they are finding ways to win, that's the sign of a championship team"

when in reality, our wins were way more convincing than ou's and against better competition.

Ok St is playing Kansas, they won't move ahead of us in a win, we'll shift up together if there's lots of movement (Michigan showdown loser drops big)

Baylor will probably move up because it's going to be a visible game and there are plenty of voters who will see that as a "good" win. I won't be shocked if they jump us, though I don't think anyone is picking them over us right now.

If Baylol wins, sip will be 4-4. It's pretty sad when beating a 0.500 team is considered a "good" win.

If the committee is doing its job properly and really examining how teams have played...OU shouldn't even be in the top 10.
They damn near lost to Tulane and Kansas.
Cincy at least beat a ranked Notre Dame in South Bend.
Ohio State has looked dominant since stubbing their toe against Oregon.
Alabama will not lose another game.
If i were on the committee...my first 4 choices (at this point of the season and subject to change) would be:
1. Bama
2. Georgia
3. Ohio State
4. Cincinnati
In my mind..jury still out on Michigan and Mich St.
Oregon lost to a bad Stanford and has struggled against mediocre Pac teams.
Iowa is overrated...no offensive skills.
Jury still out on Ole Miss.
Notre Dame slightly overrated.
A lot of topsy-turvy among ranked teams this year. Numerous teams will finish the year ranked in top 25 yet will have 3-4 losses.
For Ags...the losses to 2 opponents who are unranked now is a killer.
But if we take care of business and run the table...(both Auburn and Ole Miss will be tough) we could have a shot at finishing ranked 6-8 and make a NY6 bowl...possibly.
